    Comments/suggestions are welcome.
few noticeable problems in these untrained eyes would be
you rarely play a net shot, also you should try to add few strategies in your mind
how many times your opponent counter your shots?
from 00:18 - 00:50 you attack your opponent but many of them is easy shot especially you hit it on the same racket side of your opponent

you could implement, "make them run" tactic
for example hit a net shot, the lift or clear to the back, after that do a drop shot,
make them run the longest path as possible e.i hit on the right back and the do a drop shot on the left front

also, you need to put your racket higher, don't put it down like that

in 02:08-02:09 you lift your left foot when do a serve, this is a fault, you cannot lift all of your foot, some of them must remain on the floor

No worries. I actually didn't notice that serving fault (that's what you get for being tournament organizer as well as player - often distracted :-)

I did notice that he tended to keep his racquet down so I high served a lot to him. One thing in his favor though is just his consistency in clearing to the back of the court even in long rallies - that really tired me.

In any case, if you have any comments on my play (I'm in full blue), I'd appreciate it.

    hi there
sorry actually I'm not good with colour, I would say anything that pretty dark would be black for example navy, pretty dark red, etc

    now start with the comments
first, it must be your footwork
as you said, your opponent clearing back consistently, however, your footwork is not right, that's why you tired (too small step, wasting too much energy)
also, you are sliding too much when you try to get the shuttle at the back, sometimes you go out of screen (I assume go out from the court)
and later you must run back to the court again.
this can be solved with right footwork

0:28 you could give him proper shot like net shot and a pretty high lift, however because you late (since you take too long to recover from "sliding") again, proper footwork would do a wonder for you

2:46, you can give cross net shot, but you give a lift, you give an easy shot to your opponent
you can try to do more net shots (And don't be afraid, your opponent cannot kill a proper net shot easily, so work on that area)

better selection of shots and proper footwork would give you advantage in single

Thanks for the critique - I've been working on moving when I need to...I tend to watch my oponent's shot and then decide if I will move or not, instead of preparing to respond to the shot with a split-step. Also, I tend to have a mental block against cross court net shots, their either really high and killed or don't go over.

I'll keep on working on those and hopefully I should show some improvement next tournament.

Training session from the 1st of march.

Sorry about the low quality - I'll re-cut the vid and upload it again with better resolution. Takes quite some time though :/

There are a few manufacturers, but I think Casio are leading the way.

Hehe. I believe my training partner is not using the court to it's fullest, but I'm pretty tall as well. 6"2, I believe (2cm less than BCL)

Aw damn. Played a nice tournament on Saturday where they had 2 pro courts, but I didn't take my camera :/ It was amazing to play on those, while some complained about the high traction, I really like that. Enabled me to move much faster than on the other courts (which were a bit slippery) Next year, I'm taking my cam and playing more than XD...
