My friend just got it awhile ago. Had a few swings & does feel decent. He's a new fella so it's strung at 20lb on BG66. here's some pics.
yeah. Why wouldn't they call it "Apacs Nano 9990 Speed" instead of " Apacs Nano 9900 Power"? Like the Apacs Nano 9000 Speed.
I hope someone will be able to compare this to the Yonex article soon. It would definitely be a better deal. I mean... $49.50 USD vs... $238.95 USD.
It's already here. Saw several at AJ Puchong selling for RM110. Also saw several at Etakoh Pertama Complex.
sintec. Paint job is no better than the original. just a game today with a couple of mishit, i can see some bad chip off. However, the racquet plays well. a llittle head heavy or more balance i say.
May i know does the racket come with the string? I was quoted $75 for the racket but i forgot to ask whether got come with string or not.
Interesting. How is the performance for this racket? I was at Flymax (Yishun Sports Complex) the other day and saw their range of clone Flymax rackets similar to Yonex and asked the uncle manning the shop about their performance. He told me they are actually very good.. the difference is the material composition of the rackets. However the price is still pretty high going at like the $150+- region.. of course still cheaper than Yonex. On an earlier occasion at the same shop I was told that actually the rackets were manufactured at the same Yonex factory that produces the Made in Taiwan Yonex rackets there and therefore the quality should be there.
got myself the apacs nano9900power earlier this week, with RSL Ti strings at 27lbs. Light weight (3U) and balanced. Quite flexible when i bend the frame by hand but not noticeable during play. As background, from my previous experience, I have a fast swing speed so if the racket is too whippy then i cant play that well. I used to have high end yonex like cab20, and 1st gen ti10, and i cant afford high end yonex for now. So when i bought this racket, i didnt have high expectations as I'm only getting back into playing regularly. I play doubles exclusively. I got comfortable with the racket almost immediately. Full smashes took me couple of games to be confident, but serves, net plays, placement shots are all spot on. The string, tension and racket combo seems to be very accurate despite my lack of practice. Power is plenty since i can still backhand from baseline to baseline. Handling is quick, excellent for defence and drives. I'm still not confident enough to do the whip dropshots like old times though. I cant compare this to the yonex equivalent, but for RM100, i dont have anything to complain yet. My only issue is with the RSL string - it has lost it's tension after only 4 hours of play! Anyone experience the same? Or did I get a bad example? Should I stick to the same strings (I like the feel) or change to something else that has similar feel but better tension life? Sorry for the long mini-review, hope it helps...
at RM100, it is value for money. cant complain much. RSL ti string? err.... no comment. cut it and restring. go for bg80 or bg85. dont be sorry to provide long mini-review. we love to have them.
Wow amfslash seems like for RM100 this racket is value for money to be able to give you this kind of performance. Not sure how much the racket will costs here in Singapore though. You could try the more durable Yonex strings like BG65, BG65 Ti, BG70 PRO or NBG95 and string it at 28lbs. Think they likely will last more than 4 hours of play. Thanks for the review.
