Anyone have heel injury? My heel got injured but only feel hurt when i woke at midnight. The problem is the left heel, but I am a right handed. But when play badminton, it feel a little un-comfortable but wont affect me at all. Any similarities?
I am affraid if the Doctor ask me to rest for a week or more.. without Badminton I do nothing - what a nerd i am.. Man I should get me a Girl Friend
Hi just read your posting, I am presently on crutches. One year ago I was playing a tournament in Montreal Quebec, had just won my 1st round singles, suddenly I could not move my left foot(ankle problem) went to the hospital and they told me I had ruptured my achilles tendon. I continued on after it felt better a few months later and then it ruptured again. One week ago I was under the surgeons knife to have it rectified as I had calcifications appear(my ankle looked bumpy instead of smooth) and I will now be out from playing for at least 6 months...Trying times to say the least and boy was it very painful after the operation....
Forgot to add I am a badminton addict so being away for so long is killing me! If you feel something is not right do get a check-up and remember to warm up with special stretches for the ankle/achilles area. badminton is the worst sport for achilles tendon tears etc....
basketball is pretty bad as well for achilles tendon ruptures. I have to say it is quite strange for the left heel to be hurting for a right handed player. Do you have a picture to show exactly where the pain is?
Agree. Need more information. There is more to the ankle than Achilles rupture. (eg. http://www.fpnotebook.com/Ortho/Ankle/index.htm )
It wasnt the ankle but the hell area, my dad (only do jogging) was previously diagnose that a line of your ligament/bone is born/create on the heel surface area, previously the doctor said to my dad its OK, just wear support and thats it.. My assumption is that I might get the same case, but due to i play badminton maybe it heal longer time.. Hmm.. as long as it not affect my badminton i say "WHAT THE H*LL WITH IT" - Dude you must understand, Badminton is the only entertainment for me, i live in the city where there is no CINEMA, no bowling, no big mall (only small mall/plaza), not much entertainment here..
Bottom of my heel Sir. My cousin is a hard smash, but everytime he smas hard his feet is hit/step to the court hard too (as it add smash power) and he broke a tendon on the back of hes heel..
Bottom of heel is most likely pain at the insertion of the plantar fascia. It is not nearly so serious as an Achilles tear on the back of the heel. If this is a fairly new problem, you should be able to get good advice from your local doctor, podiatrist or physiotherapist and not be off the court much.
go look for a silicone heel cup .. put that in your shoe its the best thing ever for the heels .. and to stop those nasty shocking vibrations going up your heel > knees > groin > spine there was 1 stage where i was playing normally (squash ) and when i lunged for a far drop shot (obviously this will make my right leg go on the heel 1st) that bump just sent a shock going up my legs and my spine ... got the heel cup and nothing ever happened to my heels after that i have now upgraded to whole under sole (shoe in sole) silicone ...
Sounds like something simple to treat. Go and see your sports physician who will treat the condition quite easily for you. You can also find out more from http://sportsnmedicine.blogspot.com/2007/03/plantar-fasciitis-ouch.html
yeah ... i got them of ONG BENG HEE's dad pro shop 3-4 years ago ... and its still going on strong today .. saved my back and let me keep going ...
