    If..

    ..one is to erase one of the zeroes, it will be basically similar to the Canon 50D, but a bit less in price..;)

    yes, it still take photos.
    just.... just.... intention to focus the eyes but it comes out either the nose or ears come in focus. :D

    Couple of sens..

    ..i'll put the reply in this thread..:p

    A few links i've found on the reviews between the 500D vs. 40D/50D. It's basically comparable with the 50D, some would say they use the same sensor (a low to med. end DSLR). Same also with kwun's reply in the other thread.
    My personal thought, as i've experienced both the 40D and 50D, IMO, the AF speed is really not much between the two, if minimal at all.

    1 knock i have on the old 40D is it's big and heavy:D

    500D / 40D
    1.14 lb / 1.8 lb
    48 ci / 69 ci

    ci=cubic inch

    ^^Actually..^^

    ..the 50D is a bit heavier & bigger than 40D, if not mistaken.
    I'd love to try and test drive the 500D next to a badminton court, though..;)
