Hi All, Just came from Brisbane for couple of weeks... been searching for places to play via this forum but mostly are pretty old postings. So, not sure if they are still valid. Therefore, appreciate your help to list out the places to play. really looking forward to play some games while i am here. Found a few, below are the only ones that i know but i don't know their level of play though. Can you let me know their level of play? thanks heaps! Places, Day & Time, Level of Play, Contact 1. Balcatta Senior High school , Thursday & 8-11pm, ???, Zhang AiLing 2. Balcatta Senior High school , Sunday & 2-5.30pm, ???, Zhang AiLing 3. UWA Recreation Centre - Sports Hall, Wednesday & 7.30-10.30pm, ???, Raymond Lam
this is pretty valid http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1082262&postcount=21 _____ don't know about balcatta shs, but uwa is crowded on wednesday nights, not a good idea if you are not patient enough.
Balcatta Senior High School on Thursday nights are tranning sessions and games and Sunday Afternoon is worth going because they are all advance level. If you want extremely good games I suggest go to Balcatta on both days..
Thanks guys. I went yesterday to Balcatta and i am happy with that. They are all very friendly folks. Unfortunately i snapped my string. Could someone let me knwo where i can do that over here? Perhaps somewhere near the city? I googled one, Racquet world at Osborne... hope they open on saturday... cheers
Racquet world will do it for I think $25 dollars depending on what string. There is none in the city. Where do you live? My uncle does re-string.
Tonight there are a few Cannington - Sevenoaks College - Chao is the organiser - Intermediate 8pm - Como - Como College - Junardi is the orgarniser - Beginners to Intermediate - 8pm Victoria Park - Lesurelife recreation centre - Beginners to Intermediate - I think is 6pm or 7pm. Kingway - There are definitly have but dont know the time. Check out this website it might help you. www.badmintonwa.org.au
Thanks Az1k1, just PM you on the stringing. Yea, went to the website but the informaiton on day they plays for Balcatta is not accurate so, i am not really that confident with the information. And it is kinda difficult to risk going there as i don't have any transport and got to depends on taxi.
hi all new to this badminton club thingy. i live SOR, so currently looking around to join a club to play. anyone knows who i can call re playing on Thurs nites at Rossmoyne SHS? thanks!
Hi, I am interested to join playing badminton with a group or with anyone living in Perth. Can someone let me know where do you usually hang out to meet up and join your group? Thanks
hi guys im new to Perth. Intermediate player... Live in the cbd. Any recommendation? Transport may be an issue so would like to know club that is within walking distance. Thanks!
Emmm... Perth CBD would be hard as most of the place to play badminton is in the suburbs. the closes would be University of Western Australia which is closed for the exams and holidays and Victoria Park Recreation Centre which is on Friday Night from 7pm. Or you can go to Wesley College which is across the river in South Perth. They play on Saturday just have to ask to join. Thats all I can help you with ...
haha... Maybe i should get a cheap 2nd hand bike and cycle to balcatta... U think i can make it? By the way where do you play?
If would be great work out / training for you to ride to Balcatta on a bicycle. I play every where when i can find time. Mostly south of river in Rossmoyne, Cannington and Samson. there last badminton competition is coming up on 21st November 2009 if you are interested to test your skills out. you can get all the information from www.badmintonwa.org.au and other places to play. Thats pretty much I can help you with. Take care
Hi all, Is there any group playing near the area that I will be staying (mid January'10) Esplanade Hotel Fremantle 54 Marine Terrace Fremantle WA 6160, Australia Usually will be free around 6 p.m. Regards Zahari
the closest i can think of is Samson. run by Andrew. Friday nights 7.30pm to 11pm Sunday mornings 9.30am to 1pm i think there are other sessions in Samson too but i am not aware of their times.
