Anyone used this racquet ? How does it perform ? It should be the top model from Carlton ... I really can't imagine that a racquet cost over $200 in UK costs only ~$400 in HK ...
Hmm, maybe only the UK costs more. Here in Canada and the US, the racquet is more cheaper than the AS-Ti.... Wierd eh? It is around a $30USD difference.
is it really the same racket? The colour on the Europe side is yellow(as seen on the web) but the one in HK is not the same
Dear Double, I am interested in the web site on which you find the yellow Carlton racket, can you show this web site to us ? Thank you a lot. YY Fan
I have seem a yellow one in Emmy, but I think it is brought from other countries. Will the Mega Flex T1 in Hong Kong be lower quality than UK? Just like JP in Japan!!!
The yellow one is on the left side of the shop and wihtout price. Other powerflo rackets have price, so I think the mega flex T1 is not for sale.
I think the same case of Wilson Hyper carbon 1. The one in Hong Kong is totally different with the one shown in other countries homepage..
I'm a Carlton fan. I searched the web to see how I can mail order one. But so far only web sites in England and Danmark are selling them. And most of the websites says it's 95g. But it should be 85g from the Carlton web site. Interesting.
Carlton Megaflex Ti F1 <----- Just tried this racket exactly 2 hours ago.... play with it for 2 sets of game. The feel? maybe I have been using yonex for so long, so I don't feel any feedback from Ti F1 at all. Don't get me wrong, it is still a good racket, just don't fit my style of play. Ps. pretty stiff racket in my opinion
Have 1 and I dont like it that much. As a backgrounder: 1. Currently it's strung with a BG85 at 25lbs. 2. I'm comparing it with a Ti10, Swing Power SX and MP100 and a Carlton Airlite. Pros: 1. The head speed is very fast. For some reason, Carlton heads really have some aerodynamics built into it. 2. It hits pretty hard..if you hit it right. Cons: 1. Even if Carlton says it has the longest shaft in the world, the over-all length of the racquet is around half an inch shorter than the Yonex. What it boils down to is a very small grip. There are shots that if I had my Yonex racquet in hand, I would have made. 2. The sweet spot is smaller, because the head's smaller. 3. They say there is 14% more flex but frankly, I dont feel the effect it has on the power of the racket. 4. It is a bit heavy. Bottom line is that I have just never gotten used to it. Dont think I will. Over-all, it's the least used of all my rackets.
I think there are 2 colors... the grey and the yellow. Check www.tennisnuts.co.uk. They always feature the yellow one.
