Yes, it was supposed to look like this the first time around but the racket manufacturer had other plans.

Thanks, Panda likes it too. After showing many people both designs, it was about 50/50 on the preference.

If you like a bit more flash, you will prefer the newer design.

If you like are more conservative, you will prefer the older design.

Although both look good. T2 V2 looks similar ish to the Carlton Vapour trail s-lite.

Both look futuristic which I like, I just think the T2 V1 has a slightly more subtle look.

To be honest as long as performance is there it could be bright pink (like one of the many HPS racket designs). Very distracting for opponents as they laugh on the floor, leading to victory for you

arh...i was thinking the other way around since the new one lacks the white stripe...so from a distance it would be like a nice blend of red and black which would be, in my opinion, more subtle, unless the colors are much brighter, which, i think after doling on the picture, i am beginning to discern it! LOL...

ah doesn't matter...50/50 preference is a perfect ratio to have one of each!

There will always be a day when you want to flash a little bit (cute girl on the next court), and there will be a day when you want to be 'flying but hidden' (old sweaty shirt re-worn from last session
