Since it is a completely woven racket, shaft and frame, the more woven shown the better. ....But iirc, Dink mentioned in the past the there are sometimes unavoidable irregularities and imperfections in the woven fabric on the frame, and especially on the shaft due to joints etc. Hence it'll be challenging to achieve a cosmetically acceptable effect on the woven shaft.

anyone can claim their racket can go up to blablabla tension, but there is no evidence about it
from http://www.apacs-sports.co.uk/catalog/apacs-rackets/lethal/apacs-lethal-70-uk-badminton-racket/prod_49.html
they only said 40+ not 45 lbs
so, it's different from country to country (I think they exaggerated)
this panda power racket (ultra) has a video about it that it can go for 42lbs tension

(The cone could indeed use an update though and in pic 1 picture a goldish DC logo as well, maybe the champagne gold of the ARC10PG) And just imagine the black as woven
. The original gold would be a good combo as well, it's the black that killed the combo of the original in hindsight
(since this gold grey combo works for TC700 as well).

... and @demolidor's B takes the gold. I'd still use the tiny-logo cone from Sketchy's B, though

It's a definite "no" to champagne gold. As much as I love champagne gold, it only works in low-contrast designs, with lighter colors - eg. on the ARC10PG.
To be honest, the color I used isn't really quite what I'm picturing in my head, but drawing realistic metallics is really hard
Also, it's black at the top and bottom of the frame because the actual woven material used on the frame contains a lot of much lighter kevlar strands, so the name text and DC logo would be very hard to make out. Plus the T-joint area may look pretty ugly unpainted. Plus it just looks better black - more "balanced". :P
The shaft doesn't need to be black because there's no kevlar or titanium - only carbon - so it provides a darker and more uniform background.
Incidentally, the black paint would likely be the same slightly sparkly black as used on the TPro, rather than just plain glossy black.

No sure what champagne gold is officialy called but perhaps more in the likes of this "old gold" here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gold_%28color%29#Old_gold Used by the New Orleans Saints and a few college team all in black/old gold combo; or the Vegas gold right above it, also used by teams in combination with black or navy

Obviously the above ones I did are just Frankensteins of your originals. Maybe you can render one in which gold replaces the dark grey but I guess that's venturing into TPro land again(?) ...
How about something dark blueish icw something gold
?

Awesome work, Sketchy.
Woven does look very pretty on it's own on the head. But you are right that it is less elegant at the T.
Hope you are being well compensated by Ailuropoda melanoleuca. (Are you designing the purported shirts, too?)

No flat black would be interesting but probably not possible with the clear coat.Wonder if you could do a flame design

You mean when Alan cheers and screams for a player? For instance, Alan yells "Satta...WHOOOO?!??!?!" And we reply/YELL... "SATA...WHAT?!??!?!!?" (Re: Sattawat Pongnairat, US MS Player)
And speaking of AlanK (and KevinY), they are speed demons on those ES5ProTech machines...which are a dream to use.
