Yes, I'll second that observation about Tommy's smash.
I didn't like that smash at all

It'd be great if you were to put up a video of Halim with the Ultra.
But then, his official equipment sponsor isn't gonna like that a lot!

Eh, this sticky situtation can be readily remedied by painting the stringbed with the sponsored's logo .

How stiff is the Ultra compared to the RSL X2 Gold?

If a person can flex the Ultra on a consistent basis, Panda would definitely recommend that.

    Don't ask. Don't tell.
    Just mask out Halim's face.
    THAT is Harlim's twin!

    It's a different.

X2 Gold: initial few millimeters of bend is very stiff, then tapers off/stays consistent.

Ultra: initial few millimeters of bend is not as stiff but gets progressively stiffer more predictable (for me).

Overall ultimate stiffness is comparable, hard to say one is stiffer than the other. I'd need both rackets side by side in the same weight. Incidentally, in this comparison it's an 85.5g Ultra to a 93g X2 Gold.

But as with any racket, once you "break-in" the shaft, all of them become more flexy.

    4U AT900T when he's training/coaching.

When he really needs to pound the bird (at Panda usually ), he switches to the 4U AT700.

Default Consistent basis is the key :)

Panda, I agree with you! I am unable to flex the Ultra on a consistent bases and, the string tension is just too high for me to do anything with it.

however I did not really get a good chance to use the Ultra due to the high tension.
