Panda Power: A Racket That Can Take 40lbs. String Tension!

out of curiousity, are there any advanced players who use panda as their go-to racquet in competition?
Or better yet, anyone use a Panda racquet to win a competition?

I'm asking because I've yet to see anyone above intermediate level use a Panda racquet on a regular basis.

Professionals are all sponsored by major companies. Most are paid to use and support the product. Even those who are paid at least get sponsored free equipment.

DC Badminton is about as small as you can get and do not sponsor any players.

So naturally there are top pros using it.

@Panda, there's still lots of interest for the Revelation!!!!

In my mind, cancelled means it has been stopped and will never be continued. Perhaps that's what confusing me. :S Oh well, I'm sure Panda is doing his best in making Revelation, or maybe a whole new racket. :P

I don't mind it being a "small" business model, it's a good feeling to know that in my group I'm the only one using panda power stuff.

That being said, I only wish Panda much success so I'm sure over time the decision of staying small or going big will have to be decided, which I'm sure he's already thought of plenty!

Well, I know no top players are using it...
I was more referring to advanced players who aren't sponsored... Those competitive enough to do well in local or regional tournaments. For a small company, Panda has penetrated into Toronto's badminton community very well... but I've yet to see anyone successful use a Panda racquet and do well in any sort of competition (be it inter-club, local, regional, provincial, national, or international).

Well, wouldn't that be amazing! It's not as if I run the club here in London, or string people's racquets...or organize smaller tournaments...I'm just a small fish

To get the size right, you'll have to experiment a bit. for me, 70% fit. To paint it on the racket, cut out all black parts - that way you'll have a 2-piece stencil. Normal paper suffices for me as I dont use it that often - my panda rackets are all strung at a proper tension and I dont use them enough to break strings...promote the Power of the Panda!

Hehe. If I got enough to last me one season with nice specs, I would take the sponsorship - only problem being that most PP rackets are too stiff for me to use regularly. Only the Precision and T2 have good stiffness, and I got both with wrong specs for my style of play (too light, too headlight). [Ideal specs would be 90g@290, 90g@295 and 87g@305. (Basically N50, N50II, N70

)]. The other problem being my level of play is probably not high enough to promote Panda's rackets sufficiently to warrant a sponsorship

Regarding the stencil: the nose and mouth are a bit too big when painted on the racket. Try to make them a bit smaller (mouth needs to be less wide)

Me like to smashy-smashy a lot so I think the panda sticks are perfect for that!

now that I've started playing at 30x33 my game actually has improved, strange, yet true!!! Anyways I will forever and always support Dan's endeavors in growing his business, sponsorship or no sponsorship hahaha

Well I like to smash a lot as well, but I favor heavier rackets....N50II and N70 being my current rackets (N50II when N70 is too slow for doubles/mixed). I used to play with the N90, but my forearm always tired in the 2nd singles match when we had league matches so I made an effort to get used to a less head-heavy racket. And as the N70 is more flexible as well, clears require even less effort =)
