i think that the weakest team in this year Sudirman Cup Group 1 is
    HONG KONG and ENGLAND
if the two team has to play off... than ENG will survive in group 1.
HONG KONG has guaranteed the WS and MS point,,, but the double's should belongs to England.....

    There are other possibilities:D
for example, in 2007, thailand lost to hk.

i thought that hk would be the one in group 2 this year:cool:
    Let's see

Yup, seems HKG team will be degraded into group 2. Obviously, HKG will not win against DEN, MAS and KOR at group-stage.

With the vociferous crowds support from Guangzhou for the HK team, anything can happen.

many people thinks that the play off will be between JAP and HK,, but i think that JAP will (might) beat ENG..
against ENG,,,,2 points from single is a sure for japanese and they can grab 1 point from WD...

Japan will drop to group 2. Simple as that.

Hong Kong will win 3 points from WS, Women Doubles (If the coach pair up Zhou Mi/ Wang Chen. Then the MX with WC or YPY play in MX.

MD is 50:50. MS is 50:50 also.

Japan only bring their second class players this year.

Have you see Japan players list? The only decent players they had is from WD. And that not a guarantee points against England if they play Donna Kellog in WD.
