Just like to start a thread for fellow Fleet owners/users. I've been on the Woven 999 for the past 2 weeks and am still amazed at the quality and performance of this racquet for such a low(ish) price. Will definitely get either another 999, or the 888 as a backup, while waiting for the 1000 to be released here.

Anyone else sharing the love for Fleet racquets?

Not a Fleet user, but I'm curious, do you have the 2U, 3U or 4U Woven 999?

What is the difference between the Woven 888, 999 and 1000? The fleet site doesn't list balance point and there don't seem to be any other differences.

    I have the 3U Woven 999.

I found a table of the major differences between 888, 999 and 1000 on the Taiwan website. It's all in the profile of the head. Material and stiffness are the same. Not too sure about BP, but the 888 feels a bit more head heavy than the 999.

I heard about his racket too. When you said the price is low(ish) what USD level you are talking about ? 1000 is already available in Hong Kong, Around USD90.

I got the 999 for around the same price RM3xx or USD90-100.

You can get the 1000 in HK already? I wonder when is it coming to KL...

The last quoted price I got was Rm280 racket only, I would say not really low price. Maybe heard wrongly at that time..........

999 = slim head, 888 = widebody, both with visible woven fiber

In Hong Kong, Fleet Woven 1000 is around $700 with string now. I cannot find some informations about these three rackets. Someone said that Woven 888 is offensive and 999 is defensive. But another people mentioned 999 is very good in smash.

the 888 is slightly more head heavy than the 999. The tip of the frame is much wider so it generates more power with a lower swing speed. Had a chance to try out the 888 yesterday and compared to my 999, it gives more power for less effort. but not to say the 999 is not powerful... oh and 999 handles faster...

I say the 999 is more all round, 888 more offensive...

both are stiff, so stiff forearm and shoulder can be expected with less than good technique ;)
