hi all, i bought a AT600 2 weeks ago. At600 is a good racket, but unfortunately it crack and broke hit by my double partner. i feel very sad and still cant believe it breake easily.:crying:
the racket stringing with BG66 26lbs, is it high percentage to break with that tension in double play ??
any recommendation for the tension foe AT600?? coz i'am planning to buy another AT600.

i also strung mine at 26lbs. but the frame looks stable and did not flex much while stringing. in fact the frame feels stronger than AT700. the reason your racket broke could be solely due to the clash, not the tension. I had 2 clashes, but so far nothing broke.

I strung 26lbs..my brother broke it...i think because he miss hit the birdie a lot.

The string broke first and then he hit the birdie and the frame crake..

    Frame crake between 11 and 12 o'clock.

Is it due to tension or the racket is fragile? planning to get another one as it is a good racket, like the feel of it.

But now want fellow forumers opinion on AT600. Or should I buy Victor BS09 instead.

If I am correct, a crack at 11/12 area, that would indicate a stringer error assuming it broke while it was being strung unless the racket is defective.

I'm guessing is a defective product because the stringer is well known stringer...waiting for the warranty claim..hope that they will give me a new one...

Just bought NS9900 to replace the AT600 as they said it is a good racket and durable...hopefully will be able to play with it...

Should be fine... Normally, it can take up to 30lbs before cracking. Haha :D:D

I don't think the tension had anything to do with it. I bought an AT600 recently too and after a very light tap against my partner's racquet, there was a huge paint chip (and no damage to my partner's racquet). :(

Maybe AT's just aren't that durable, as mentioned in DinkALot's racquet reviews.

HEAD 8000 metallix material is the strongest Racket I have. Everything YONEX very Fragile, 2 layers of paint, been hit at over 10x, only scratch top layer coating, paint still look great. Wow........will worth $110 spend. My at700 cracked on me, my at800 defensive cracked on me, my RSL cracked on me.....HEAD IS THE ONLY SURVIVOR....METALLIX-->>SO POWERFULL MATERIAL.....

I have a friend who owns an Armortec 600 , it was strung at 25lbs and it has survived a few clashes with other rackets.

But I think that sometimes it just depends on the way the clash takes place , so sometimes a racket can't take it.

Racket is never made to be bullet proof, and if the clash is hard enough, tennis racket can be broken, too. In theory, the higher the tension, the more chance the racket will suffer serious damage, with or without clash. That's the part of risk you need to pay.

If you do not feel comfortable for racket clash, either stick with single, or use cheaper and more durable rackets in lower level of playing.
