Currently I use Head XtremeSoft overgrip, that is very thin and tacky, and I like it a lot But it loses its tackiness after just one session and even if I use just half of it, it costs me $1 per session :crying: Is there any overgryp that keeps its tackiness longer Thank you!
I like the Alpha Overgrip. It's thick and tacky. A lot of people don't like it because it loses its tackiness but that's only if you stretch it while gripping (which most people do). This grip isn't as long as many others and will only go to the bottom of the cone if you don't stretch it but, that's all i need to play. The rest is up to you and your opinion.
yonex overgrip are the best. and its cheap. its usually $1 for 1 or even less if you buy alot. yonex also has the bulgy overgrips that you can make a spiral. its $3 but its really comfortable and good.
Thanks but I know that guide word by word The problem is I am looking for: thin+tacky+keepsbeingtacky grip... and stretchable too! However, I am trying SuperGrap and Gamma Supreme next week though these are thicker than the Head XtremeSoft...
think + tacky + durable = wilson xtra tack which is better than ultra wrap. dink says the colours vary but i diagree i find the yellow just as good as grey and black. try it. dont stretch it too much its best when it has its natural cushiony effect straight onto wood. the resultant edges and grooves are sexual and its a great grip.
I wouldnt describe it quite like that, but i too believe that it is a great grip. oh, and skip the pink and red versions. those two really aren't the best grips.
Its good to be tacky... but it kinda minimized your hand movement and grips changes since it sticks to your hand.
Wilson Pro or Xtra Tack is what i use. Pro is less tacky than Xtra Tack. so pick the one that suits your taste. both of which retains tackiness really well. lasts very long also.
I'm starting to use a Tactic grip. As of now, (my second day of use) it's still very tacky and maybe it has to do with the fact that I barely sweat on my hands, but I think it'll be good either way. I don't know what it's called yet, but I will add when I find out.
Hey Kwun! I use Wilson Pro and they seem to go rough after a while of using it just as the Yonex Supergraps do. I was wondering if that happens for yours too and is there that problem with Xtra Tack? Or would it be that I grip it too tight :O?
Wilson Pro do go rough. but not as bad as supergrap. supergrap that i had firstly loses the tackiness rather fast, and then after a while, it will worn down to the fabric. Wilson Pro when it goes rough, there is still some soft fibery stuff left which is not as tacky but still not bad.
uh, nothing really? On some, nothing happens at all. on the Black one, i noticed that the grip was starting to come apart. Note this was after 3 months of use 5x2 a week. other ones, i haven't had much of an experience.
yes the xtra tack doesnt go rough. It just loses tack but it#s still rubbery. Xtra tack is better than pro and ultra wrap which isnt as durable but none of them match up to Karakal pu supergrip. If you think it's too thick get the badminton, http://www.centralsports.co.uk/shop.php?page=detail&product=5794 Same quality just thinner and softer. It's so tacky i find it difficult to change my grip sometimes lol
i use Xtra-tack and find it rather durable. i normally use bright colors and use them till they look disgusting and then i change a new one. usually by then there might be some abrasion wear on the grip. but many times it just lose some tackiness and won't wear. the only problem i have with Xtra-tack is that while already one of the most tacky grip around, they don't do very well when wet. better than most, but still not good enough.
