Hello, I will be travelling to Hong Kong in a week. I am looking to buy a couple of classic rackets like the Carbonex 20 and Isometric 800 and 900 and Boron 2. Does anyone know of any stores that might have them ?

I tried calling Rose Sports location on Fa Yuen St a couple days in a row in the morning and no one to pick up the phone.

I tried looking for the phone numbers for Inkysport but I can't find it online.

Does anyone have any advice ?

    Thank you.

I have seen the iso 500 before but never played with one.
Is it the baby blue coloured one ?

It's better to pay a visit to Rose Sports, since they don't open till noon time, also it gets too busy, they don't pick up the phone.

make sure you have a deep bank account.

these classics are rare and the stores knows it. if you find a Iso800, be prepared to pay HK$2000+ for it.

Boron-2 you will be talking about HK$3000 or even $4000.

current gen cab20 is not too bad, probably HK$6xx. older gen you are talking about thousands of dollar again.

There's currently a Boron 2 for sale locally for $3,500.

Isometric 800 and Carbonex 20 are still available so far I remember. Just walk in every shop that sell badminton rackets and look for it. There are fewer Isometric 900, maybe 1 or 2 shops.

Oh ok, that explains why no has picked up the phone. I figured that the best time to call is in the morning business hours when traffic is a bit less. I have been calling 10:30 am and noonish for a few days and got nothing. I actually called the other store (smaller) at Aberdeen, but unfortunately the lady couldn't speak English well and unfortunately my chinese was not the best either.

One idea I was trying to do is ask them to mail the rackets for me. When Rose Sports had a website, I emailed them and ordered the rackets online.
They were quick and punctual. I was also looking for some Pro Kennex rackets, which they had to order in from their distributor.

HK $2000+ ? When I was in HK in December 2007 it was only HK $1000.

Silly me, I turned to the dark side and got new technology for the same price, Nanospeed 8000. :(

Its actually not that easy trying to do that, I went up and down Fa Yuen St and looked in each and every shop high and low. Like someone said, you probably have to ask staff for it. Sometimes older stuff may be kept in the back or not in front view.

I think it's hard to find these rackets in HK especially ISO 800 and 900. I know there is a BCF member living in US selling these items, why don't try to ask him. Cab 20 old color maybe much easier to find. But I saw in Rose sport has the CN/CP code which cost around HK$2300.

I have a certain budget that I would like to not exceed over. HK $1000 is okay for a brand new classic racket, but if its over than I would prefer to spend HK$400-600 for Cab 20's.

Does Rose Sports still have an email address ? when their website went down I could no longer contact them. I may try to get hold of them and try ordering rackets and have them mailed to me. I wonder what happened to their website, not enough business ?
