Pakner,
1) Dont drink so papakain nalang ako.
2) Thanks in advance if your friend brings in the MP 99. I think I'm getting to like the MP series over the Ti's.
3) Tried the MP 88 (3U)this morning in Crame. Not bad. A very balanced "all-around type of play" kinda racquet. Not too strong on the smashes but defense is pretty good.
4) Tried the MP 88(BG65Ti 18x20)back to back with a Swing Power SS (the old one of Camille, strung with BG85 at 18x20) and the MP88 wins hands down on weight ( I perceive it to be a lot lighter) and power (hits over a yard longer on clears).
5) Over the MP100 (2U BG68Ti 20x22) the 88 feels puny. Around a yard shorter on clears vs the MP100.
6)I think the performance should get getter when I get hold of nicer strings. Hows the Cyber natural compared to the other strings. Is it as good as the price it commands?
7) Anyway, catch you later in Celeb.

Nutty,
Yes I play in Crame. I train in the mornings on Wednesdays and Fridays. I don't have a definite schedule though as to when I play there, though I sometimes play on Sunday mornings or a week night.
Will catch you one of these days I guess.

im not sure if she has the strings, but ill forward her your number....one word of advice with the 85s.. ive used them long enough for me to recommend it, imho..its a very offensive string. but you should use it about 7-10% less poundage than your normal string ....say a bg65.
if you're used to having your rackets at 25lbs with a bg65, then might as well use the 85s at around 20lbs-21lbs...it snaps at 25lbs and above...and with the 0.67mm diameter, the lifespan is not as long also...i loose its tension in about 3-4weeks max...but if you're not that keen on going back and forth to your fav stringer, then go ahead and use it...unless you string your own..
this is one special string my friend...

Errrr....Hang on a sec here...
I've been using BG85 for close to a year now and I don't think by reducing the tension 7-10% less than string tension for BG65 is a great idea.
I know Yonex packaging recommends reducing tension when using BG85, but I can honestly say that having BG85 strung at high tension is better than strung at low tension. I've got 2 MP77s with BG85 strings, one at 25lbs and one a 22lbs. 25lbs laced MP77 always feels better and crisper than the MP77 at 22lbs. Smashing power is better, net shot is more precise and clears are deeper with higher tension. Sure the string doesn't last as long but with so better performance on offer, I rather go high tension.
I've strung BG85 above 25lbs and it hasn't snap or done anything unexpected. Only string I've busted whilst stringing at 25lbs and above is BG66.

Funnily enough, when I was using BG85 I was using 24-25lbs.
When I switched back to BG65 I'm using 28lbs.
That's just over a 10percent difference.
Why? When moving back to BG65 I'd tried 30lbs which was good. Then I felt I didn't want to shorten the lifespan of my racquets so I went down to 28lbs. Didn;t even bother trying to go any lower with the BG65

Going back to my original question, The 2 rackets have been to me for close to one month and my observations, i can really play with the MP90 very well, defend well and smash/drops/clears well. I am still having a little problem in doing drops with the Ti10 tho a lot of people told me that the Ti10 is a better racket.
i think "better" is relative and what one is more comfortable with. Maybe i am not "strong" enough yet to use the Ti10 with relative ease.
As to stringing, i strung both rackets with BG80 at 25lbs. nice crisp sound
Pinoysmash, I used the gavun roots 5000 3U (dark green color) before, I like that racket strung at 22 lbs, great control and net shots. But when I strung that with BG65 at 25, it felt weak, dunno why. My returns and clears are short, and weak smashes. I then shifted to CAb21SP, then now to MP90. I still uses the CAB21 when I feel I want to use a stiff racket. All my rackets are 2Us now.

Pinoy Smash and Pakner,
PSmash, still havent gotten a text from your friend in Aguinaldo re her MP99s. Would appreciate it if you could forward my cell to her 0917 8960868
Pakner, Wala pa ba the MP 99's? Ditching na the MP100 and sana the Swing Power SX. They are of very little use to me....errr... of little use to me. Hehehehe
Will start a new thread on the Tis and the MPs. I think this thread has digressed enough (although in a good way).

baddie>> the gosen i have is the gavunroots BR5000TI..i know of that green one..but i have the later version, the blue and maroon..with the more distinguished kickpoint showing its ti+graphite weaves (both on the neck and at the shaft) ..its the one that the BAM was using, original issues for the Malaysian team..we were just able to chance them in malaysia about to be given to the national members when my friend saw them and bought a few units...it even has the BAM logo on the shaft and its special bag...it was just a lucky break we got those rackets...i normally string these rackets with bg85 at 21lbs...and its already tight at a 25 pounder 65s..i just feel at home with it..
2cents>> i already gave your numbers last night to the supplier...and she'll call you on those items..she also has new badminton shoes..but according to her, its not yonex...but other brands, and a cheap and good shuttles...ill get her permission to txt you her number..
