^^This thread..^^ ..will erupt by around 2 or 3 am PDT(5 or 6 pm MAS/INA time) in the wee hours of the morning..Too bad those 2 ties won't be played in the earlier afternoon session..
This thread is expected to be a long, long thread to read when I get home . Yes, unfortunately I have to attend to my Badminton club session when the big matches are to be scheduled. This thread is expected to be a long, long thread to read when I get home. .
I won't be surprised.. ..to see the INA squad empty their benches and play their younger players, knowing well they've secured a SF berth.. On the other hand, both DEN and MAS would want to play their top players in order to clinch a SF appearance..Literally, all five events could go either way and depending on the order of play, it could be decided by the last match.. Prepare the fireworks!!..
The only question for team Malaysia is how are they going to field the XD? I think it may be better to be conservative and let KKK and WPT play single event, that's MD and WD as these 2 events have good chance to bring in 1 to 2 points. Putting KKK and WPT in 2 events backfired before and should be avoided. Let the opponent beat us and don't beat ourself is my philosophy. Not sure I have the strength to stay up whole night for the MAS vs DEN.
Malaysia-Denmark will be the one to watch. Its like do or die matches. And Indonesia-China will be more relax.
Its depends on if Tine could make it or not.........If Tine could not make it to GZ.....MAS have better chance to qualified to SF..cause mas MD and WD are not themselves in this tournament...........other wise...!!..... As for the Migraine of PG.......It will make PG stronger and more determine to win against LCW....
As Chris mentioned, INA vs CHN will be an exhibition match (from INA's perspective). The strategy is to play all the remaining players brought to Guangzhou and thereby allowing them to earn valuable ranking pts for seeding purposes at the WC despite losing (esp for Rian/Yoke and Devin/Lita). Likely lineup: MD: Hendra Setiawan/Mohd Ahsan or Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki vs Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun -- this will be an interesting spectable if Hendra/Ahsan are fielded. WS: Adriyanti Firdasari vs any player CHN field. MS: Simon Santoso vs Chen Jin or Bao Chunlai WD: Nitya Krishinda/Greysia Polii vs Du Jing/Yu Yang XD: Devin Lahardi/Lita Nurlita vs Zheng Bo/Ma Jin or Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen Except for the first match, all the other ties should be won by CHN.
Tine won't be there for sure from what I've read. Not even sure yet Gade will play. Chances are Jan Ø might have to step in but he says he's ready to go .
Knowing that INA won't be at their full force, CHN might as well rested their top guns too tonight. BTW, Luis Pongoh did mentioned they will fielded their strongest line-ups and try to beat China to top the group and avoids KOREA in SF
2009 Sudirman Cup: CHN has great confidence to defeat MAS or DEN at the SF . This is very true. CHN has great confidence to defeat DEN, MAS or KOR at the SF. Therefore, the result/outcome of today's CHN-INA match is of no importance to CHN, IMHO. .
Tourney software puts the order of play as : MS, WS, MD, WD, XD With WD playing just before XD, dont they'll field WPT. And MD as usual as 3rd match, too tiring also for KKK. Unless they change the order with MD playing 1st, then KKK/NHL will be the combo for XD. If not, it'll have to be Fairuz/NHL.
MAS vs DEN These players will win it for Malaysia today: Winners: 1. LCW 2. WMC 3. EE Hui/WPT I may be wrong but I am almost always right.
