lol, its always very weird though everytime when we all play badminton, we all are too lazy to count the points and that makes things worse always all players on court forgot their scores Me myself have this kind of case happened before. What about you?
No, never. I say the score out loud to my opponent after every point and so if one of us forgets, it's likely the other won't.
I used to say out the score but, after I while I got tired of it seeing as how I would have to do it almost EVERY single game. Then we started doing it in our heads and I would still have the score due to my great memory but the opponent would challenge and say I changed the score. So, now I'm back to saying the score out loud to my opponent. After every point. No mistakes!
anyway, if everytime i forgot the scores or what. i would just have the mentality, Just WHACK and hit the shuttle, men!
I never count the points. I dont play for points, I play for fun . Because I never counts, when my opponent forgot the point, we just stand there a moment and he thinks.
It happens quite often. Unless someone really into score counting meticulously, I will let them do it. Otherwise, I will try to do the counting. But, I will admit when the score is lopsided (mostly on the losing side ), my mind would get "spaced out" and lose track of the score. Or sometime after a tough point, I forgot everything and complete lost it, including who served last, which side of the count I should be, and of course the score. BTW, most of the time, we play just for fun. When we forget, we would make up something reasonable and continue. If that doesn't work, make the score 10-10 and continue
I play 21 points. I think most people will play 21 points system now. Grr the score always ennoying. The best way is to say it out aloud - but I don't which sometimes causes problems on court due to score issues .
I play 21 normally, but when playing against high school students, I have to play 15 since they're used to it and the schools haven't changed it yet.
Really? I thought high school (with newer breed of players) would be adopting the 21 point first. My friends and I play 15 always still. We play 21 versus high schooler (per my reason before). I guess we were wrong, then.
Score Arrangement.... I also count the points out loud and most of the times some players also dont know in which arrangement to say the points. They always try to say the leading score first rather than the score of the serving side first. When i am just about to serve on the even courts side and opposition will say score like 11-8, i will repeat and say again 8-11.....probably some senior players are confused when scores changes and adding in your memory the score and then re-arrange to say the score of the serving side first makes it confusing to some...
yaya, I also always forgot the score. I am still playing the 15 points system, that's why sometimes I will stand at the wrong side to serve. The uncles refuse to play 21 points system because it is too fast, haha, so I have to follow the 15 points system. Only sometimes I play with my classmates, then only we are playing the 21 points system. If really can't remember the score, just simply guess, maybe you 4, I 3,haha
If we are playing doubles or singles with all people training together then usually we forget the score because we are taking notice of more important factors whilst training. If we are playing social with other club members, someone always keeps track of the score.
sometimes, the one u are playing with likes to cheat/fake about the scores. When u argue with him, there goes another problem
Really? Our school changed it to 21 back in 2007. On topic, it's normally the person who scored the first point that calls out the score, cause his pumped and eager. There are exceptions though. My memory is bad, and so when I'm on court I have a constant mental battle with numbers rather than whats more important
