Fixing your broken racket

Just hope to share this good news with many here who feels are still soar over their lost!

Just got back from Beijing. Went to BBESHOP in Beijing, and they told me they could repair broken racket!!!!

Music to my ears!
Cos I just lost my best pal , my MP 88!! (and it is no longer in production, and no where to be found)!

They shown me a sample of a fixed racket, bascially they seal it back.
They said it may not feel exactly the same as previously. ... but seriously rather than letting my beloved racket RIP

OR $180 rest in my cupbroad, I think I would give it a try.

They would charge RMB50, and required abt 8-10days turnaround time.
BTW, anyone else tried fixing a racket?

well for a start, the balance of the racquet will be affected it will be very vulnerable as if you clash or smash to hard then it will break again it will not be the same racquet as it used to be so do not expect a miracle

most people will be understandbly skeptical. however, since it is only RMB50, worth a try. do let us know how it turn out.

but now he can pretend to be playing with an AT700, a more expensive racket

if i were you.. id keep the racket as a collection and buy a new one.. its not all the time you get broken rackets..

It still feel good....but the racket just look like it been thru tough time and lots of Battles...As a strong warriors, these rackets still have life in EM....so don't waste a good racket by putting it away. Only people who sale rackets enjoy your broken ones, so you can buy a new one........I will squeeze every sweat from my broken rackets......good luck to all......Don't give up on your broken racket---It like given up on yourself due to injury......just keep your head up....

when my friend repairs broken rackets, he puts a "brace" on the broken spot. he first applies epoxy and then wraps it with an aluminum material. it molds perfectly and believe it or not, the tension tolerance can still be up to 28 lbs.

The aluminium material is just aluminium mesh that can be found at any local car repair shop its how you repair dent that cant be beaten out and then the body filler / epoxy paste is applied can be pretty strong stuff if you choose the right one theres loads with difference properties
