that is quite painful. i heard about someone who got hit in the eye, and had to get a slit in his because pressure built up, which caused him to temporarily go blind.
Well, I`m not blind, but it did hurt for a few hours! And it did look worse then it is for a couple of days.
Ive that injury before when i was child .. My friend throw me the shuttlecock during Im riding a bike or during my friend riding a bike .. Then WOW!Couple of days ....
Ouch! Solar your lucky Sgbad got it bad! My coach when playing international , did a rubbish half lift , and his opponent punished him. Bang straight in his eye!
This is what I learned after being smashed at the head, back, shoulder, and groin. When you're in front of the net, take cover under the net and place your racquet up your face. When your partner smashes behind your back, put your racquet behind your head. When you're returning a very steep smash at a high speed, do a 90 degree turn to either side to prevent serious damage to the lower body. . . . . . That's for the smashes that you feel are too lethal...
Only great player gets it. haha. I got one too. So, lucky nothing serious. The pain is excruciating. Just take care. But again, accident happens. Cant really avoid this type of accident. I got a friend blinded when he was hit in the eye in mix doubles. Stilla a champion with one eye operating. Cool old man.
Ouch!!!.. ..just looking at your pic makes me grimace; thank goodness nothing more serious...get well soon, bro!
What about the korean player who vsd taufik in the 2004 olympic singles final??> he has something like 30% vision in his left eye due to being hit by a shuttle at a young age.
Tnx, I`m OK now... Still not training, but not because of my eye, but because of my university exams... Back to full training at july...
