It seems the Mizuno Skycross Ex is.. A page taken from their 2009 Catalogues.

gee, those prices still seem quite high though. I wonder if the Mizuno Shuttles are any better.

It would be nice if anyone can read Japanese translate what Mizuno writes about their shuttlecocks above though.

    USD-JPY = 94.877 (26 May 09)

    Mizuno Skycross EX: JPY4,935 = USD52.01 (USD4.33 per shuttle)
    Yonex F-90: JPY4,830 = USD50.91 (USD4.24 per shuttle)

You can have a burger, coke and fries in Singapore for the cost of one of those shuttles :(

Hm, why you need translation for the japanese marketing text? It's all the same, new technology X(nano is so yesterday, the new gimmick is?), improved flight and durability, thoroughly tested, carefully selected premium goose feathers etc. etc. ad nauseam.

The pro's change shuttles every 2 or 3 points. 1 match can cost 2 tubes which is 100 dollars.:eek:

I think around 60 shuttles were used in one of Lee Chong Wei's games in the later rounds of the Olympics last year.

I think a lot of those shuttles can be recycled for some junior club games later on :)

    Not actually 100 dollars.

Obviously they don't buy them at retail , and get them supplied for the expense that they were produced for . So definiteley less than 100 dollars :).

Although it still does make me shiver every point that they change the shuttle , when it looks brand new

I heard Gosen shuttles were quite good. But I do not know the current quality of them.

Buy all three including the Yonex F90 tournament since the Yonex shuttles' price is not that much different from these two anyway :D.
