I have recently received coaching and a couple peices of advice my coach has given me asofar have been to improve footwork (obviously) and shot placement. I was wodnering what he means by "shot placement" - I'll ask him next week but I thought to ask everyone here for some info before I hit the courts tomorrow.
pretty much just make the shots where you want it to be? No if that then your coach would say accuracy. placement shots are know where to hit the shuttle to. That's easy, just hit where your opponent doesn't expect (sorry if i'm using the wrong word here) you going to hit it to, or hit where he has to go for it (make him moves around) correct me if i'm wrong thank you
Shot placement is simply where you hit the shot. If you have good shot placement, it means you're able to move the shuttle around the court and put your opponent in difficulty. If you have bad shot placement, your opponent probably won't struggle to put most of your shots back. Shot placement gets more and more important the better you become and the higher levels you play at.
plus: 1. intensify yr wrist work 2. split off yr sight when placing yr shot (onto both the bird n the move/position of oppnts) *_^
