no......lol. i first started badminton when i was 15 nearly 16. Im 19 now and still training very hard. if you wish to get good and compete at international level. Get a good coach and start training hard. See how far you get
That means you a Freshman at your highschool? It's not too late to play badminton. Join your school's team and work hard. If you play badminton at least twice a week, you'll get better within a year. Have a good coach to teach you the proper basics and form.
Yeah, I didn't start badminton until a freshman year. If you don't slack off (like I did) you should be doing well in D flights in tourneys in the US. Just keep to it and don't get lazy, trust me.
It depends entirely on what you want to do. It's never too late to train for badminton. I mean, coaches will SAY that you're supposed to start when you're 10 or younger. But they're talking like "if you want to compete nationally, you have to start when you're 10 or younger"... they're not going to refuse to train you if you pay them. And 14 years old gives you plenty of time to get pretty good. Hell, unless you break yourself, you can probably improve your game right up until your late 20s.
start off, and keep it. focus on the basics, you don't need a backhand smash if you can't consistently do a forehand smash. footwork is your friend.
Never to late! If you are talented enough, and worrk hard and focused enough, you will progress fast and surpass players who started at a younger age Cheers, Twobeer
