FANTASY BADMINTON (FANBAD) 2009 GAME RULES How to play Your fantasy badminton team will score points from selected tournaments from the 2009 BWF calendar (mostly Super Series) (Start from Singapore Open SS) . You may only enter 1 team per entrant. If you enter more than 1 team you may be disqualified and removed from the game. Picking a Team Your team will comprise of the following 4 players: 3 x MS 1 x MD Submitting your team Once your team is complete you must submit it to start scoring points. League Every team is automatically entered into the overall World League. Maximum Plays (IMPORTANT!) Each player in can be an active member of your team in no more than 2 rounds in a tournament Once a player has reached the 2 rounds limit, he/she will no longer accumulate any fantasy points for your team. Example : If you pick Taufik Hidayat and he played in 1st and 2nd round, he will no longer get any points. So you have to remove him with other player. However, you can transfer in Taufik back for the semi final as he still have one play in hand. How to score points Fantasy points will be awarded based on the real life performance of the players in selected tournaments from the World Badminton Super Series 2009 tour.Fantasy points are awarded as follows: Points for Matches Won: Seeded Players (against unseeded): 4 points Seeded Players (lower ranked seeded): 6 points Seeded Players (against high ranked seeded): 8 points Unseeded players (against unseeded): 9 points Unseeded players (against seeded): 15 points Fantasy points are awarded based only on the Main Draw men singles, and men doubles matches.Qualifying matches are not classed as point scoring games. I found that if all of your players defeated in earlier round,this will not be interesting anymore.. so,here is the additional rules where you can transfer in other players.. ADDITIONAL RULES (IMPORTANT!): Transfer You can transfer in other players if one of your players defeated in any rounds. Make sure you still not exceeded 3 Men's singles and 1 men's doubles. However 7 POINTS will be deducted from your final points. Example: Chong Wei defeated in 1st Round and you want to transfer in Sony.So, here is the posting format: Before 2nd round... --------------------------- Sony In Chong Wei Out MS Lee Chong Wei/out Boonsak// Taufik// Sony/ ----------------------- From the format,we can see that Chong Wei is OUT and Sony is IN So,7 Points will be deducted from your final score.. My advice : Thinks carefully!
