Hello All, It's great to discover a badminton forum! Been looking for this string, either online, or in Asia (I travel between Hong Kong and Singapore regularly), too bad I don't travel to Japan often. Also, does anyone carry the VeriCool shirts from Yonex yet? Just bought a MP99 in Singapore, S$250 ~US$142, unstrung. Cheers, -Eric
Bought the MP99 at Bras Basah, Ranking Sports on the 3rd floor - known the old lady there for years, but still expensive considering that the MP100 is about S$150...... MP99 is a 3U G4, 'R' model.
erm... mp99 kinda expensive but with mine skill i dun think i am fit for the racquet, by the way i just bought the mp100 2days ago it cost abt $160 Mp100 3u, i bought it in the a music bookshop at the first floor.
But back to the original topic, do we get BG100 strings in Singapore? Or do I have to mail order, search in HK (so far no replies from any HK suppliers yet). Anyone can supply me a couple of packs?
officially, the CNG100 and BG88Ti aren't supposed to be available anywhere but in Japan. some retailers in HK took the initiative and imported them directly from Japan. therefore you can find them in some shops in HK (like Luxis). Yonex HK knows nothing about them.
Thanks all, I am still kicking myself as I was looking at the CN100 in Spotplaza (in Namba, Osaka) last week, and then thinking....they should have this in Singapore......and prior to that, seeing it in a store in Sunnyvale, CA. Guess I'll pay Luxis a visit next week I'm in HK. I wish Sunrise & Co would wake up and bring in some of these things. And stop the consumer price gouging on the MP99s.
Just note that the Cyber Natural 100 is called CBG100 in short. I just strung CBG100 on my Iso Ti Swing Power SX a few days ago @25lbs. Initial impression of the string is that it's very good! I think it's more suited for the finesse oriented players rather than hard hitters though. Let's see how it feels like when I play this weekend. Mongoose told me that the tension will drop drastically after a while.... I hope not! I still prefer the BG 88Ti over this though.
just wondering kwun, on that diagram, what do the bars say (in jap?) would be somethjign like durability, repulsive power, feel, control, sound...but in what order? thx
Simple, accordingly for the CBG100..... Repulsion : 8 Feel : 6 Shock Absorption : 9 Control : 10 Durability : 6
For the BG88Ti strings, its : Repulsion : 7 Feel : 7 Shock Absorption : 6 Control : 8 Durability : 6 BG88Ti doesn't seem as impressive as the CBG100, but I prefer it over the CBG100!
I found some advertised at Sportsnet in Houston, US$16.00, better than Luxis price. But they haven't replied my email so far, still looking for a reliable mail order place... http://members.aol.com/jumpsmash/jumps.htm
strings you could actually buy the strings in Mongkok in HK. if you go to Fa Yuen ST. The only places that i have seen it in is Luxis. Emmy and Rose.
san diego badminton supply has CBG-100, BG88TI, BG75TI, all the yonex string you can think of for a good price.... he import them directly from Yonex Japan... talk to Mike Walker great guy
i just tried the cybernatural strings...they were strung at 25lb tension on my Armortec 700 cp....my 1st impresion of the strings were...they were considerably softer then bg65...and after playing for about 2 hours..the strings broke at cross....maybe its because the strings cannot take the tention...but the feel of the strings were magnificent!
