They might hold a promotion where the prices listed above may be reduced for this occasion. All Li-Ning products in Singapore are controlled in the major retail outlets (e.g. Mustafa, World of Sports) that are available for sale.
The linesmen were dressed in Li-Ning outfits... Was wondering why do they have to wear a cap? Doesnt it block the view of the linesmen... and they could steal a nap...

The shuttlecocks in use for this tournament is the Kason Tournament shuttles. They were unable to prepare and bring in the 450 tubes of shuttles of the Li Ning Aviation+ 300 Tournament shuttlecocks (retailing at $59.90 a tube here) required for this tournament. The Li-Ning Aviation+ 300 was used at the recently concluded Sudirman Cup in Guangzhou. According to the Li-Ning sales rep, all Li-Ning racquets are considered mid to high-end. As such their prices retails from $99-$489. The low-end segment is covered by the Kason brand range which is also owned by Li-Ning.

I took similar pictures today also but I asked permission before I start snapping. The staff have no problems with it. One of them even gave me a sort of impromptu interview and some info about the company's badminton range of products. In fact he is aware of the sentiments of BCers here about the steep prices about their products as he does read and monitor what is written here. He replied that these racquets are made of the highest quality and alot of R&D has gone into them with the collaboration of the Chinese National Badminton Team. It was also the company's concerted effort to target at the mid to high-end segment.
Woo... I am really shocked to see the prices of Li ning rackets. Its sky high, they got to bring down the price , if they want to compete with yonex rackets. One question to ask fellow badminton fans here.. Without buying ticket to watch the Aviva open , can i walk into the indoor stadium to buy Li ning stuff, and how much is the Li ning china wear clothing ? Second question is Li ning store is at which level of Icon store .. thanks ?
ION is at the corner of Orchard and Paterson Road and its not opened yet. It wil be in a couple of weeks time probably concurrently with the Li-Ning boutique.
The shirts range between S$59 - S$199. You will need to purchase a ticket in order to enter the Indoor Stadium if I'm not wrong.
Impressive!!! Impressive is what I would describe Li Ning's first official foray into the Singapore scene here! They must have put in a great deal of effort to outshine veteran Yonex! No wonder Yonex is not willing to release TH this year for it will be completely outshone by by Li Ning since Yonex products will have to play second fiddle at least in this SO. I suppose Li Ning is able to buy over most, if not all, of China's top-notch players from Yonex to put the latter in such an angry mood. However, if TH is able to play and win the SO with Yonex products, it would have salvaged some pride for Yonex. But now the opportunity is gone and Li Ning will have not much of a competition from Yonex at least for now. Let's hope Yonex can fight back later in the year. They say competition should be good for everybody! More parties attracted into the fray will even be better.
I had not heard of this brand before... huh. From the look of the shoes, they look very stiff and uncomfortable. The competition will be great though. Korea moves to victor, China moves to this brand and there seem to be more and more companies pushing badminton (wilson, head, rsl etc). I think it is great for the sport!
Hmm.. ..wow, it's great if the person is aware and has been reading the posts in this forum..You should've asked him (or maybe can ask him later): "What's up with the ultra thin-material and design worn by the CHN players in the recent Sudirman Cup?". And ask him if he would wear such t-shirt to play baddy.. ..yes, from my past experience, i also concur that you'll need to purchase a ticket to enter the stadium and check out the booths. They check everyone outside prior to entering. ..we shall see whether the prize monies in the SS, in the future, will increase or not. IMO, that's one significant indicator for the sport's appeal, esp. with all of these new companies/sponsors competing with Yonex. Thanks guys for sharing the pics!
Its the Great Singapore sale now, most branded stuff is already in discount , shouldnt Li Ning follow , and give discounts too ??
Now i wonder, which badminton fans at this forum , really spend $400 plus, $100 plus and $200 plus on Li ning , clothes, shoes and rackets in the booth at the stadium.
