i give my racket to a friend to string it.
when he give me back the racket the head was not oval like the other rackets but is more cycle.
is this a problem? will this affect my shots?

If the shape is changing significantly, you should cut the string, and re-string with a more reliable stringer. The problem is caused by poor string job (i.e. wrong tension, bad clamping, bad mounting, etc). Especially if using high tension, that will put too much risk on the racke frame.

Yeah, if it doesn't look like it should do, it's always best to cut the strings out.

well, you could also ask him how he strung it. that could explain a lot about why it looked circular.

it sounds like your racquet frame is weak to me.keep this in mind thou.if the racquet says hold up to 25lbs,then check the frame carefully whether it has changed shape or not if you string anything above the recommendation poundage.better yet, compare it with whatever racquet you have which has the same frame shape after stringing.

i cut the string and i see that when i cut the horizontal string the shape was the shame but when i cut the vertical the shape change to oval, maybe the tension was higher there, i will tell my friend to string it more carefull :D

When you cut strings, you should cut in a 45 degree angle. This way, you are cutting both a main and a cross at roughly the same time.

tell him that the mains/crosses on a oval should be strung at the same tension.

But normally you suppose to have 2 more lbs on the cross right? *read from the stickies at the restringing forum*
