should the shuttle be infront of your head or above your head

    which is the correct contact point when hitting the shuttle. is it above the head or in front of the head or above your racket hand?

    For what shot? Every shot has a slightly different contact point really.

    Smash = well in front
    Drop = just in front, shuttle lands near left toe (given ur right-handed) if you let it fall
    Clear = overhead, but can be executed well even behind head, depending on situation.

    If you can it is best to hit the shuttle in front of ur head, it gives u more options. It means u can smash, drop or clear. This is where gud footwork is needed. The prob is if u wait or r too slow and ave to hit the shuttle above ur head or behind ur head, those shots become a lot of difficult esp when shuttle is behind ur head.

    So if you can hit the shuttle in front of you
