I just recently started to play badminton and now I would say I am an intermediate player on my high school team. I play mixed doubles ranked four and I play the back. I was training with my old reliable racket when the strings popped and my coach recommended that I get a new one since my old one was already really ancient. So I was thinking of getting the Carbonex 8600 since it is light and I am an offensive player. What do you guys think? P.S. I am open to any suggestions.
It is pretty decent to start out with. It's oval shape head, so it's gonna teach you not to mishit and get the sweet spot more. It will be good for you since you just rose from being a beginner. Price is around $50 I believe.
If possible, borrow / rent rackets from teammates or local shops, and try it before making a decision. Also, consider upgrade the string as the default strings usually too thick and too low of tension.
