But in the meantime, depends on what you're doing. for overgrips, its pretty simple, just start with the super tapered end at the bottom of the racket. If its the right way, it should easily roll up the racket and follow the pattern of the existing grip. This is where personal preference comes into play. Do you want it thicker? overlap the grip more. Thinner, overlap less, but don't let the original grip show, otherwise an overgrip is nearly pointless IMO. Where you end it is up to you. Some cover part of the cone, others the whole cone, others the whole cone and a bit of shaft to use the whole grip. I have a peculiar friend who cuts them in half and only wraps with half, covering only two-thirds the handle because thats all he needs. I personally use my thumb on the cone quite a bit, so i leave the cone unwrapped. If its a replacement grip, you'll have to remove the original grip by removing the existing tape and peeling off the original grip, unwinding it from the handle. Now that you have a bare handle, you can do two things. leave it bare and apply the replacement grip, or wrap the wood in electrical tape and then apply the replacement grip. As a personal preference, I overlap my replacement grip slightly, maybe a third to a half a centimeter of overlap, to create a "ribbing" to fit my hand better. I don't know of anyone else who does this. oh and overgrips tend to be thin thin thin, and replacement grips are thicker.
He meant an overgrip, not how to use the proper grip of a racquet since this is the grip section from the equipment section.
Ah okieoutie, your video is so much better than my crazy explanation. Thank goodness for the wonders of youtube... And as a side note, if you're unsure of yourself, practice a few times without taking the protective plastic layer off. And make sure to pull tight and firm.
The old adage that never gets old: "A picture is worth a thousand words". But it only shows you one way of putting on the grip. Your description shows the range.

1 problem that guy in the vid should **StReTch** the black tape when u stretch it, its harder to come off thats what my coach did to my apacs super pu grip
