    Hi

i have just bought the arcsaber 9 from PWP, how can I tell what tension it is at?

I played with it today and it seems I got a bit too much power as my shots are going out, although my smashes are relatively accurate.

    thnx

There's no surefire way to discern tension after the racket has been strung, but they normally come out of the factory at between 18 and 20 lbs (unless the vendor has custom-strung it for you). Of course, it also depends on how long the racket has sat on the shelf before you bought it...

I never go the strings personalised...so im assuming it shld be factory settings...I do think it is somethin relatively low...since using the racquet for the first time my shots are going to far out. So does this mean I should get the tension changed to something higher.....say 23-24?

Changing the string may help somewhat.

Arc9 is a powerful racket so some shots my go spray wide since it is a bit on the flex side which would take some time getting used to.

Matt is right. Also, from my info, the racquet should have been strung at 20x22lb if it is prestrung. Next time, try BG80 with 22x24lb.
