Sorry if a post like this exists already, but I couldn't find it on the forum. So basically I just noticed right now while looking at my Nanospeed 9000 that it is missing a grommet. Missing around 8' o clock area of the racket. I got it strung about a week and a half ago. Tension is at 25lbs with BG80. I have warmed up with this racket for like 5 minutes, then switched back to another racket. So will my racket suffer? It's just one missing grommet.
well, the chance is that when you play, the string could break. it also puts stress on that area of the racket. so yes, it will suffer somehow.
exactly. in fact, where did you string it, because the stringer should have noticed and replaced it for you. that's bad in their part.
lol really weird. Because when I popped the strings, one of the 12 o'clock grommet blew up. Everything else was okay. So when I got my racket back, I checked the 12 and a grommet was replaced, so I didn't check the other ones on the racket.
If possible, cut the string and replace the gromment then re-string it. You do not want to risk an expensive racket such as NS9k.
yeah but you think it will get strung for free? I mean it's been a week already and I don't have my receipt anymore (gave it to them last time to restring since the strings popped in one day)
Free or not, depend on the store policy. However, do you want to risk a $200 racket, because a $20 string job?
