For all Malaysians, "how do you beat Taufik today?" If I were Misbun , here's the advice.
"He is a slow starter, so win the first set at all cost!, remember, this is Jakarta so this is his territory and it won't be easy. Give away the second set if he has a lead towards the end by more than 6 points and get him in the 3rd. Your (LCW) fitness is slightly better than his. Get back some of his 305 Kph jumping smash to frustrate him and watch some of his 250kph backhand smash too. You must love the noise, Jakarta fans have good lungs, they can be louder than Airbus A380 and you must learn to love noises.Just win, play 101% and win in 2 tight sets or three, but just win it"

Talked to some players of MD:
CHN MD said that they prefer to play KOR in semi..and they are glad not to play INA MD in SF
KOR loves playing INA or KOR, not CHN MD..hehe
MAS MD said they prefer KOR and INA MD...

Haha..well....I guess it depends who meet who in WC...

To me, the main pleasent surprise comes from Sainal! It's certainly nice to see how she progress and she will make the WS more interesting to watch in the future.
Chinese is still very dominating in all events even though most of their players suffer from ranking problem due to the absent of tournament participations. In a way, is a blessing to badmitnon comminuty that the Chinese players don't occupy all the top world ranking which force them to play among one another in early round else we would see them monopolizing in semi and final, playing against team mates and dictating the pace and outcomes.
It's quite obvious LYB is using this tournament to re-allign the players' ranking so the same old strategy can be deployed prior to the World Championship. I hope more quality new players like Sainal, Lee Yong Dae emerge soon to counteract the Chinese domination which is not very healthy to this sports(more like heading to table tennis situation).
China may win 4 out of 5 titles in IO but still consider an exciting and successful tournament as none of the event in the final is China vs China.

In a way, is a good test for both players. Taufik can test his "form" and judge where he's prior to World Championship against the world #1 while Chong Wei can test his "maturity" under pressure and hostile crowd. And for fan, we don't have to see any arguement about changing shuttle, quite a rare treatment nowaday :D
    My blessing for both players!

If Misbun has to tell LCW to give 101%, LCW is gonna lose

Ma Jin, Zheng Bo, Lee Hyo Jung, Lee Yong Dae and a Korean coach were practically the only ones on the first team bus.

Lee Yong Dae had to literally run away from the chasing papparazzi girls to make the bus trip.

If FHF/CY and ZB/MJ win then LYD maybe will blame the paparazzi because they make him tired of running before the game start:p
