has anyone seen "test" on the yonex shaft instead of the serial numbers? I have a Ti-10 1st gen, SP coded on the cone, but has "test" on the shaft. i wish it is not a fake one. someone say something plz.
I thought I have seen everything. Please post pictures if you can. However, I am pretty sure it is not a legit one. Usually test sample come in black, unpainted with "DEMO" on the cone. All the SP racquets will have ser# on the shaft and nothing else. Once it is painted, there ser# only. I am pretty sure the Evil Empire destroy all the painted marketing research racquet.
dear master SH, are you sure all came with black? the latest Ns9900 is well painted as same as in market. but still has the "sample a" or "sample b" wordings.
May be. None of the SP one will have "TEST" on it. I may be wrong. I know the "Sample A" or "Sample B" do not get out in the wild.
Prototype racquets? I've never seen them in real life, but I've seen pictures of a pure black prototype racquet. Some pictures may resolve the many questions you have by our expert team of counterfeit.
The issue with the marketing samples "Sample A/B/C" are they are not painted exactly the same. Some of them are just mark up. They usually are return back to Japan after marketing research. They should not even be out of the office and they are accounted for. These will be destroyed after research. So, yes Master Drifit, you are luck to see one in person. PS: Got the picture yet?
thanks all. my Ti-10 1st gen is not black, is looks just like a normal one. i will get some pics of it. I am pretty good at telling a fake raquect, but on this one, from looking, and using, everything seems it is a real one, (since i have another US coded Ti-10 1st gen to compare with).
Its most likeley fake. Painting the whole racket , but putting test on the shaft ? What happened if you asked Yonex - could they confirm if they put test on their rackets or not? Where did you purchase/get this racket from?
I get it from a friend, he brought this from a authorized yonex shop in China, all of his rackets are from that shop, and they are all good.
Jay, I posted it and state that 1) Demo for contract players might get out on the market. If you read other posts, you would know the ser# will be on the shaft, DEMO on the cone code. 2) Marketing samples might show up in Yonex regional office for show and market testing, but they will be return to Tokyo office and destroyed. Never have I saw a Sample out in the wild. Last thing, the font is wrong on your Ti-10. Sorry...
Howdy...it is common here in China to see "authorized" dealers sell both the real deal and fake. This happened to me two weeks ago with a Victor product. I am told it commonplace to be wary about anything that comes from China....
