i haven't use carlton racket, so cannot give comment, but i owned a Nano 900 Power white and its feel good. Wasted i didn't string it using digital Stringer machine. My nano 900 string with BG 80 at 27lbs (if for digital i will go for 26lbs).

What i can say for this racket is cheap and good. RM 122/= with BG80 string and grip..

Because more Branded? Hehe, just want to tell u an incident, my friend just bought a Carlton string with BG 85 at 26lbs ( racket there write max 30 lbs)(not sure which model). Just 2 weeks the racket snap, never clash with partner or hit the floor. He just smash and miss hit and hit the frame. The racket snap at the frame where he smashed. Now send back to claim warranty and still haven't get back after 1 month and not sure if got any warranty for that snapped.

Which carlton model was your friend using? The airblade series?

And TS, airblade 37 is the highest end airblade series for Carlton's asia production. Anyone, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong

I have a few stories of friends who are beginner players, and they break their racquets after a few session. So far, I have played for a few years and never broke any racquets even though I string at 26lbs.

I sold a racquet to my friend, he used it for 3 session and it broke, why ? Because he keep mishitting on the frame and the racquet can't take it no more.

Moral of the story, I doubt any racquet can take the punishment of hard hit on the frame.

Anyway, I suggested Carlton not because it is branded, but because of the 2 models in consideration, I feel the Airblade 37 is a better racquet. If the Apacs model under consideraton is the AMP 90/95 or Tantrum 200, then my vote may go the Apacs way.

I think the forumers here know that I am brand agnostic and will give all brands a chance.

well, buy whatever you want. the apacs may seem price attractive. however, go test some out possibly your friends rackets, and go from there.
