Watched the match just now. From her game, i can see she is more aggressive this time around and mix her game with more varieties of strokes.. Can see she is back on track a little

Wang Shixian, are you really back? I don't want to speak too soon though your achievement so far in the SSF beating Sung JH, Eriko Hirose and Intanon Ratchanok are very encouraging signs. What's even more heartening is a number of your points won were from outright smash winners.

Hope to see you successfully developing a new model of play, a style unique to you which you said you've been trying hard to do. Today's win against the Thai prodigy Intanon in the SSF semi-final where you displayed better court movement, less predictable shots unlike before and ,best of all, executed quite a few good smashes - they are proof positive you are gradually and steadily transforming your game after several failed earlier attempts.Remember to work hard on your stamina,too.

Can't blame the spectators. Her back didn't look like hurting during the match. She was totally dominated by LXR, and looked like she could not get more than 5 points in the 2nd game. She called for medical, and just after the guy sprayed on her back for a few seconds, she quit. It didn't sound like she wanted to continue at all. I guess most people watching will have a first impression that she just wanted to save face.

I definitely think its friendly. I get the impression that LXR is a bit embarassed that she keeps beating her teammates Wang Shixian and Wang Yihan. She knows that she has really far surpassed both of them in skill, but she hopes they will do well. At the same time, she can't just not try her best against them. I think she feels sorry for beating her teammates so badly.

Well, in another match, I forgot which one...WSX just retired for no reason other than that she was losing, and Zhang Ning got furious with her. I think it might have been in the Chinese selections for Uber cup or something... Seems like a similar action this time. It is nicer, I think, to keep trying, let the match finish, and let LXR feel the glory of the winning moment.

Still, I think WSX can feel that she is on the way back again. In this tournament she has performed well. No losses against foreign opponents. Reach the final and lost against the best player of the world. She seems to play with less pressure again, as compared to before Olympic selection. And she is using smash with success. I think she will have a successful year next year.
