Does anyone own any racquet models from the Kumpoo Power Shot Series (P800, P810, P820 and P830)?

According to the Chinese websites below, the racquets can be strung up to 40lbs. :) The Kumpoo Japan website however does not carry these models.

Well, latest news I got today is that Kumpoo will have a product launch at Siam Paragon for the 2300 Hexagon this coming Thurs ! That's the day that I go to Bangkok and if they have good promotion, I will likely get one !

Funny thing is the inconsistent tension cited. Even on Kumpoo Thailand website, some of the models are rated to 40lbs tension but the Japan Kumpoo website, max tension is 26lbs for the 3U model.

Their unique selling point of their racquets is lighter racquet (4U) at 3U power.

What about their 3U racquet then ? Is it at 2U power ? I can handle 4U and 3U racquet so if 3U racquet doesn't perform at 2U level, then no point for me to go for that.

Anyway, I wonder how they benchmark power for racquets ?

I think the Hexagon shaft is pretty unique also as it reduces torque (racquet twisting) which means your shots are more accurate.

Also, according to their website, they are the 1st manufacturer to use Carbon Nanotubes in their racquet and also they are the 2nd biggest badminton brand in Japan !

At least your informer is better than mine. Initially my Thai informer don't even know who Boonsak is . This is more likely that they are not really into badminton.

Try to take some pics of the Grand Opening and more importantly some close-up shots of the invited guests and the racquets ;) :D and post them here.

Yah, see how as I am playing badminton in Bangkok and have to leave at 6pm to reach the courts, you know how bad the traffic can be.

If I can see Boonsak, I will ask him to autograph the racquet or the bag, that will be so nice !

It isn't new, been around for a few years just that it isn't widely available.

There is maybe 2 reviews of Kumpoo on this forum, search and you will find it.

So I'm guessing this brand isn't really popular but they are trying to get out there by signing with Boonsak.

Ha ha, does this means with Kumpoo racquet, I can do round the back and between the leg trick shot ?

Wonder how many take did they do for the shuttle to hit the tube ? The guy smashed from mid court to 3 tubes which definitely isn't as difficult as smashing from baseline.

I will likely get it and I will do the same smash test also, see if it really is that accurate, if it does work then my opponent better beware as I will be aiming at all the various body parts ! ;p
