    2009 NEW YORK CITY OPEN
    August 14, 15, 16 ‘09
    Total $8,000+ Prizes

    EVENTS: Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles, Senior’s Single, Senior Doubles, and Junior
    Location: USA Badminton Sports, 20-24 119th ST College Point NY 11356

    Fees:
    Division A: $30 - 1st event $20 - additional
    Division B & Senior: $25 - 1st event $20 - additional
    Division C & Junior: $20 - 1st event $20 - additional

    Conditions:
    - Player may NOT enter more than 2 events on same division.
    - Players registered for multiple doubles or mixed division must NOT play with same partner.
    - Division C is strictly for BEGINER ONLY (committees have the right to refuse advance player to participate in lower division)
    - Consolation draws will be held for each event.
    - A player not ready to play ten minutes after his / her match is called may be defaulted.
    - Acceptable badminton clothing must be worn during play.
    - Each player in a doubles partnership must submit separate entry forms.
    - The tournament committee reserves the right to change any of the above conditions.

    FORMAT: All events will use the Badminton World Federation rally point scoring to 21 systems (see USA Badminton website at www.usabadminton.org for more details).

    ELIGIBILITY: The 2009 CP Badminton Championships–New York City Open is open to all players. Players must play in their level of skill and not try to play lower. We encourage healthy competition. To enter, contestants must complete this application form and forward it along with the appropriate fees to USA Badminton Sports, no later than August 1st, 2009. No entries will be processed without payment.

    AWARDS:
    Cash prize will be awarded in the ALL: events for Winners & Runner-ups to the semi-finalists (Except Junior). See our website for prize breakdown www.cpbadminton.com.

    So, all the events have A, B, C and each has consolation rounds? :rolleyes:

    Dear All member,

    We are sorry to inform you that CP Badminton Championship – 2009 New York City Open, previously scheduled to take place at the USA badminton Sports on August 14-16 has been postponed until further notice due to suggestion from our club member August is busy travel season for family vacation. We do apologize and sorry for all the inconvenience.

    Tournament Organizer: USA Badminton Sports

    CHECK-IN: Check-in will start 5:30pm on Friday (Oct 30), 8:00am on Saturday (Oct 31) & Sunday (Nov 1). You must present photo I.D when you check in.

    TENTATIVE SCHEDULE: Please check our website at www.cpbadminton.com for update schedule of events. All final will be completed before 4:00pm on Sunday Nov 1st, 2009.

    SHUTTLECOCKS: YONEX AS 50 shuttlecocks will be provided for all matches.

    AWARDS:
    Medal will be award to all events for Winners, Runner-ups to Semi-Finalist (included Consolation events)

    just curious .... did they install the yonex mats on the other 5 courts? the last time i was there i only saw it on 2 courts.

    sherky they ony have 2 mats there.. the rest are still wood.. or whatever they call it.. hehe i was just there last week

    i know. i was also there last week ..... that's why most people wait on courts 1&2 even though the other courts are open.

    The deadline was extended to yesterday. The online registration link is still open. If you have a partner just try to sign up online or call Kevin to see if it is too late.

    i agree ..... but i think hock lee is a level above. i should have joined and might had the chance to play with some of these guys .... i don't mind being humiliated .... lol :D
