Hello all... I think of myself as a good intermediate player, who is all arounder and like to smash. I play 80% singles. I want to try a yonex racket. so what could you recommend me, I use wilson K-factor k tour witch i think is pretty decent and apacs nano 9000 speed. I would like to try a yonex racket because everybody likes them. witch one do you recomend, was looking in arc saber 10 or arc saber 7 anything else i should reconsider
If you have a good arm, try Armortec 700, best smashing racquet in the line generally. If you have a good wrist, try Nanospeed 9000 X or 9900.
I am afraid that those rackets will be a bit too stiff for me, i tried apacs armortec 900 white, and my arm started to hurt because of the stiffness i think. Is arcsaber 10 any softer that rackets stated before. I play in avarage 3-5 h a week
If you are using the 1st verson of K[Factor] Tour, it is quite a stiff and head heavy racquet and probably the closest Wilson has to the AT700. If you can handle that, I don't see why you can't handle the AT700 ? I have ARC10, NS9900 and AT700 and I feel the NS9900 is probably the toughest to use unless you have good technique. It is extra stiff and being head light doesn't help at all.
AT700 will probably the most suitable racket for a good arm attacking player. If you can find the old color (1st generation) AT700, that will give you slightly extra defending capability. However, based on my own experience, I should say it's fairly difficult to get use to AT700 primarily because it is a head heavy racket - and for some reasons I find it rather stiff. If you find AT700 too stiff, I would suggest to go for either MP100, AT900 Power or Arc Saber 10. As for Arc Saber 7, I feel rather light, I would definitely choose Arc Saber 10 over Arc Saber 7.
i vote for the arcsaber 10. good racket, with a nice balance imo. decent power generation and defense capability. and, while it is a stiff racket, it has this flexible feeling.
If you think APACS AT900 White is still too stiff, then Arcsaber 10 may not be for you. Give Arcsaber 7 a try. Even-balanced and forgiving to the arm but require some time to get used to. If you can use a heavier version, I suggest 2U for Arc7 as it's more durable than the 3U. But if your arm cannot wield 90g racquet, then go with the 3U.
what about armortec 600, do you think it will suit me? funny thing is that when i use Apacs nano pro 9000 witch is rated as stiff as nano 900 white i dont have any arm problems, maybe its just very bad vibration dampening or something.
IMHO, I don't think Yonex AT600 will suit you. AT600 feels fairly similar with Muscle Power 88 - both of them are balanced flex racket; good ball control and quick to manuver, but lacking power when comes to attacking. Hence, more suitable for defensive player who relies on sliced drop shots and netting games.
I personally don't use and will never use AT600 because it's 4U, fragile frame and too light for my liking. Arcsaber 7 will be a better choice when it comes to good maneuverability and good smash.
Excellent choice on the ArcSaber 10. I have the ArcSaber 10, 3U 4G, with BG80 at 22lb. It is such a good racket for playing singles, but I find it not so much for doubbles.
