I recently broke some strings, and after eventually finding a local stringer, I'm trying to find the best string and tension for my ArcSaber 10. I use plastic shuttles and I'm based in the UK so no adjustments needed for hot climate(!). What do you guys recommend? Thanks for your help.

It varies from each player to player.

Do you want a durable string , or a performance string?

A loud "boom" when you play?

    Want tension do you want?

What type of player are you?

I want a durable string, because it's a hassle for me to get it restrung as there is no stringer nearby. I want a loud boom when I play. Tension I'm not sure about - what do you recommend? My playing style is very aggressive, mostly revolving around big smashes from the back of the court.

Erm , I would say Nanogy 95. It is durable and makes a good boom sound.

The tension also depends on you :

    - What tensions have you used before?

    - What did you think of them?

    - How long have you been playing badminton?

    - The higher the tension the smaller the sweet spot , resulting in a less forgiving racket , although more control.

The general rule is higher tension gives less power but more control , lower tension gives more power but less control.

BG 65 ! Durabity and quality of touch..

If you smash a lot from the back of the court, try 9 or 10 kgs.

:) This is the problem really , we cannot really tell you the type of string to use that will be ideal for you - at the end of the day I believe you have to make your own choice , by testing most of the strings.

BG 70 pro is the ideal plastic string I think...might be better to ask plastic shuttle users

If he wants a loud boom try BG-68TI at 24x26lb. I found BG70 pro better on plastics. It was ok with feathers but felt better with plastic.
