Hi All, I have lot of passion for Teaching and Knowledge sharing on Badminton. I live in UK and would like to know are there any legal clauses involved in doing the same. Does the rules differ if it is for Kids/Adults and does it differ if they are paid excercise or unpaid excercise. Or is there any source where i can get the information. Hi, I didn't find an answer in the search. Has anyone done any of the coaching weekends at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes? I'm interested, but I would like some feedback from people who have done it before. Thanks.
Kishore With regard to you wanting to teach, in UK, until you have a level 2 qualification you are not insured to coach. This does not mean you cannot coach, but it would be wise to ensure your students know you do not have the necessary insurance. If you are looking to attend a badminton residential weekend, is this so you can develop as a player or a coach as these weekends tend to be to develop players skills, knowledge and understanding of the game. They run a weekend course for people to improve their skills as players. I just wondered whether anyone else had done it in the past. Your coaching weekend was my first choice, Paul but it seems to be in the middle of nowhere and I don't drive. The Milton Keynes option would be easier for me, as I have free train tickets and the National Badminton Centre is pretty much next to Milton Keynes Central.
I have players travelling from all corners of UK and man y travel by train. I've had ladies travelling alone from as far as Edinburgh, Kent and Cornwall and I now have one player flying in from Belgium. Milton Keynes is easier to find in view of the proximity to the station...not a lot I can do about that. But you stay in dorms rather than single rooms. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
Thanks for the reply, I didn't realise that people travelled in from so far away. Dorm's aren't my thing at all, though. I might just stick with what I'm doing already :-/
