Not enough wrist work? Wrong timing?

One or more of these is happening:

You are hitting the shuttle too early.
Hit it a fraction of a second later.

You are hitting it when it's directly above you.
    Get behind the shuttle's descent-path.

You are hitting with the racquet-face straight ahead.
On contact, the racquet face should be angled down.

    Try again :)

I wud say where u are jumping to hit the shuttle is out mate. If your normal smashes are ok, the only difference is ur jumping up to hit it. Make sure you are behind it and if not, make sure you use ur wrist more to hit it down the ways

You just need to give it more time to adapt to it. I around I played at700, I was loving with that racquet, until it broke. And I bought at900T which omg, I can't feel my smashes. Until last time I played, I actually took of my grip out (which mean back to original) that was made the head a bit heavier, and my smash was getting close to the speed of my old racquet power.
The time it took me is like 1 week? Well that's because I don't really smash when I played. Because I couldn't feel good with the new racquet so I don't do smashes in game, that's why it's that long.
Oh I meants around 7 days of playing to allow me to get use to the racquet, cuz I don't everyday, once a week, sometime once a 2 or 3 weeks.

smashing is not about strength....is the contact point and ur swing of arm... smashing is like using a hammar hitting a nail...u contact the the right place and timing ur smash will be sharp and deep...

agreed with adapting. sometimes its hard for me to adapt using arc10 and at250 at times when playing ... esp. when you don't have enough time or can't play for a long time :V

Yeah. Now I knew what is the problem with me. I used to grip the handle tightly when doing jumping smashes. I should grip it loosely before the racquet hit the birdie.

i would not consider smashing same as the motion of hammering the hammer onto the nail. the strokes are different.

j smashing will always work how you want it if you have the correct timing and movement
