Of course, badminton had been a great addition to our lives. Aside from the exercise, excitement and social interactions it brings, how do you think has badminton improved your everyday lives (outside the court), from the more significant ways like health improvements, finding your special someone, to trivial ones like having something to chat about?

Me, I noticed faster reflexes, like when i accidentally hit a cup or something over (which i do relatively often) and manage to catch it before it falls :p

I'll add when i remember something else! Feel free to share!

Badminton helps people who like to collect disability insurance sooner when his/her knees are so wore out that they can barely walk any more.;)

Benefits of badminton in everyday 's life

    Hi All,
Besides making numerous friends, this game allow me to identify how to deal with people of different characters and look at their behaviours n expectations of u and the game as a whole.:p Well, some younger and aggressive players who love to attack and smash all the ways sometimes expect me to be in their same mould. Hahaha........sometimes they forgot their partner's age and physical conditions n limitation!;)
This game really bring out a person's humbleness and humility and also of one's opponent.:) As Plato said, to understand a person better, just play a game with him and u can observe the true character exhibited in his play.;)

    Badminton ...

helps me climb the stairs easier, because of the lunging action.
helps me pick up far away objects on the floor with just one step.
makes my wrist motion stronger when I play with my toy.
gives me a stronger spanking action for naughty children.
gives me a stronger grip when I'm holding beer grande or 1.5-L bottles of softdrinks.
helps me jump higher to get files on the top shelves.
    :)

The split step definitely helps in other sports, like with Ultimate Frisbee.

Hahaha! That is funny. Are you talking about me?

When I played 2-3 times a week, it felt so good physically and emotionally. n. Sometime, I am amazed at myself that I was able to move, retrieve, and make shots that I had no idea that I could make. What a high!

Unfortunately, I am suffering from knee trouble (not disability yet :D ) and down to <1 time a week. I have a tough time keeping it up in my game any more . I hope to rest up and get back into it after the summer :)

Today, an officemate approached me. She said that it seems like I don't get old despite my 8 years of stay in the company. She asked what my secret is. I said ... "BADMINTON".

Or is it? I might be a vampire for all she knows. Now I'm thirsty.

Thanks for sharing nice benefits and im adding here some more health benefits ...
1.Badminton sessions can enhance the normal and healthy circulation of blood as blood vessels are unblocked.
2.It can also help overweight individuals to lose weight and achieve their ideal weight for their age and height. This is because the metabolic rate is increased as they play badminton which, in turn, speeds up the burning of the calories and prevents fat from building up in the body.
3.Lastly, badminton can relieve our stress, depression and anxiety. It could improve the quality of our sleep and our efficiency in doing your regular routine. It can also help in improving our self-confidence and optimism.

I found playing badminton taught me to become a good loser, that losing actually makes you work harder and improve.. and there's nothing better than watching men doing killer jump smashes !

true dat. all the above posts about the benefits of playgin badmitnon are true.
basically i play baddie to keep myself in shape and of course to oggle the good looking, macho men! but playing too often,i feel it could harm the knee and shoulder also.
