Finally have a chance to try out the ZM62. Thanks to master PeteLSD, in very short request, he has restrung 4 of my racquets, 1 with my usual BG80 @26lb and the other 3 with ZM62 @25lb.
My initial feel of the ZM62 during warm up, it has a very nice feel with high clear, has a nice sound, solid feel yet not stiff like BG80, it produce power very effortlessly. Net shots are nice, feel is excellent as also the grip of the bird, may be because of the the diameter of the string. Smash and drop is very good but control of direction is not as sharp compare to BG80. May be because of the string movement??
Overall, it is an excellent string in all category, it produce excellent power and feel yet is soft on hand, however, durability is certainly an issue, none of the ZM strings made it to the end of the section. Since master Pete was playing with me that night, all racquets went back to him for restringing
For now, I am sticking with BG80 for the durability. I would certainly try ZM67 & ZM70 in the near future, hopefully either one would perform in the same level as ZM62 with higher durability.

hello all, I just got zymax and yonex reel from http://www.badmintonstrings.co.uk/
I think they i the cheapest in Europe and if you order over 70 pounds shipping is free so i ordered it to slovenia. The communications with the seller are very good.
So just a suggestion if anybody is looking for zymax and yonex strings.

Of course. Several factors affect string breakage. Stringing, age, accuracy, power, stenciling. That's all I can think of at the moment.
A kink occuring when stringing will severely weaken a string, or an overly rough string gripper/clamps can fray the string causing premature breakage. These negative effects are also multiplied by a higher tension. The higher the tension, the more fragile the string becomes.
A poor stencil ink will actually eat into the string after a while as well. Mishitting the racket, or hitting with high power a large amount of times will also weaken the string, and mishitting with lots of power is so detrimental, it may also break the racket. On a bad day, my friend will break the strings on two of his three rackets simply from full power mishit smashes. On a good streak, his strings will last until they are too loose to play with. Either, I end up restringing them
so in summary, it IS quite possible to break strings everytime you play. It's just not economically advisible.

oh okay. thanks for this information.
yes, this is quite logical. I play with a quite high tension, sometimes it's cold in the gym and maybe i mishit the shuttle..
thanks

Played the .62 for the first time yesterday at 11kg on my Arc 7.
It did not feel as hard as 11kg and was very precise and powerful. The touch was good too, and a little better than the Ashaway Micropower or YY BG-80 which I normally use.
The sound was crisp and the thin nots dissapeared in the grommets:
