Zymax 62
Hi all,
I strung my AT900P with Zymax 62 at 26x28. First, I agree with the other posters in that the strings felt tighter than what was expected but the overall feel was good. Unfortunately, it lasted only 1 hour on the court but I didn't hit the sweet spot squarely. I'm going to lower the tension to 25x27 and see what happens.

I found you have to play lightly or don't play it at first week. give it time to break in. After that it last much longer.

My aforementioned racket with ZM62 broke at the weekend - Mishit.
I have no complaints. If I didn't mishit it, I wouldn't have broke it. May be it will make me a better player (les mishits)
The Li NingAccupower survived a competitve two games of singles easily, on top of the 3hrs social I had previously played with it. I think the fact it survived the singles is more pertinent as thecompetitivenature meant there were a lot more off centre hits which it survived.

Yes, I tend to agree. The sweet spot felt a little smaller than usual but as you said, it could make me a better player given that I would have to focus a little more on hitting quality shots. So, perhaps with a lower tension, I'll gain a little more of a sweet spot. Another thing that I noticed was that the weight of the racket was lighter as well which could be due to the thinness of the 62. I'm thinking of trying the 67 version to give some weight back to the racket. I'm still experimenting....FYI, I normally play with BG-80 at 26.5 x 28.5.

How is ZM62 likely to survive at 23lbs?

Very thin strings that string and feel tight can also break from hitting at the feathers, especially against the sharp edges of the feather. This is especially true if you use wrist snap at speed. Also worn shuttles are especially dangerous on ZM62.

Survived 2 session with loads of hard smashing on my T2s. But there was instance where i broke it in 5 mins also because of mishit. As the rest say, do not mishit. And do string lower than normal as it is really tight. This is not a rather subjective opinion as you can see it is quite consistent with all the findings of members.

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in with my ZM 62/67 usage over the past couple of months.
First, I absolutely LOVE BG80 but I hate having to restring it every 3 months due to the string fraying in the center. I love the sound, the feel, almost everything about BG80. I usually have my AT900T strung at 24x26.
Told my stringer and he recommended that I try ZM67. I picked up a NS9900 so I decided to try some ZM67 over the 62 because I was afraid of it popping. Had it strung at 26lbs but I had some bad grommets so the ZM67 popped after a week. No worries, took it back and my stringer really wants me to try ZM62 so he did a ZM62/67 combo at 26lbs. 62 on the crosses, 67 mains.
I've played twice with it and boy, it's pretty sweet. It's super tight but power is still there.
So if anyone has access to both, I'd recommend trying this combo. After reading a couple of pages, I'm thinking next time I'll do 67 @ 26lbs and the 62 @ 24lbs since it plays stiffer but so far so good!
Lovin' it big time!
