What about the rest of us mere mortals?

Will the new shiny silver ZM62 be available on the high street?

Once Panda approves the string to Ashaway, yes.

It's hard to test stuff now because it's cold by SoCal standards, low 40s and on the court it's like mid 50s to 60s.

But so far, from some informal testing, the new ZM62 PT is more durable and even a bit more crisp!

That's the ticket, Dink: plausible deniability.

Ashaway and Dan must have some "Area 51" where they do all this top secret research. (Maybe the technology is of alien extraction?)

    Scully: "Mulder, you just lied."
    Mulder: "No I didn't."

Thanks for the info. I have to say I'm on the intermediate level. What do you think is a good MRL for the Precision with ZM70? I might have to string at that MRL when my current string breaks.

Kevin, you may be intermediate in level of play but most of your questions about badminton are most definitely beginner-beginner.

If you are intermediate level of play, you will know most of the answers to most of your questions, or at least have an idea. As this Panda has stated to you many times before, if you have a question, best to ask your coach first. He knows how your level, style of play and knowledge. He can best assess and answer our questions.

I don't think my Coach is as informative as you guys are. People from our country will understand me on this matter. Coaches here, especially mine, just play on how they learn Badminton from day 1, they don't know a lot of theories like most members in this forum do.

Shiny Silver!!! That would look good with the precisions Grey strips! But platinum still looks nice.

Well, my Z62 reel is here, so let the recidivism begin!

Also got two sets of the potential Z62 mk. 2 (aka X-2113). I'll get some sessions in with the mk.1 before I review it - I've all but forgotten what Z62 is like...

For my new Precision with ZM62@ 28X26, the string is moving a lot. The string pattern looks ugly after a few hit . This is relative to BG66 and BG80 at a higher tension (29X27). ZM62 on the T2 at the same tension is not moving as much (maybe I didn't use it much).

Or maybe I'm not hitting it right (too much slice in my hit). I have no idea.

Yes Z62 moves more than the average string. At least at first. Don't worry, it will "settle in" after a couple of sessions.

The string movement is crazy. Even the cross strings are moving. I'm not worried. Just the stringed looks ugly.

Going off topic with Zymax strings.

I saw a good deal for Ashaway Micropower reel 200m purple for $60.00. Currently, I'm using zymax 62 on my 8dx and BG-80 purple on my ti-10 both at 24lbs. I saw on Sir Dink's review chart that its rated Excellent overall. However, my only concern is if it has enough repulsion?

I think Ashaway Micropower is overrated and is no where near as good as Ashaway Zymax 62. It is also not as powerful.

Took my Panda Stealth out with fresh Z62 and I could actually hear the middle mains move on big hits - I thought I'd borked them a good half a dozen times!

If you are referring to MP with orange or blue stripes, agree. MP White however, plays noticeably better, though not as good as ZM62 in White.
