Actually for me, every two weeks for entire last year. yup, I used up an entire 200m REEL.

Tension ranged between 26x28 and 28x30, but most of the time it was 27x29.

The biggest reason for such fast string turnover? yeah you guessed it. Mishits

Thin strings can be strung at high tension with no problems and they just play so nice. Provided you have access to a good stringer and don't mishit too much.

I am trying R4X momone at the moment (0.66mm), though the tension recommended by Gosen is (16-20lbs ), I managed to string at 27.5x29.5 lbs with no problem. It survived after one week and is still going strong though I suspect ZM65 is more durable.

It seems I'm getting better... Better in playing and better in destroying strings :P
Usually I wasn't able to break strings within 5 - 6 months. Now I have broken my ZyMax 65 within 2 months. That's a new record for me :P
Surprisingly the broken area was exactly in the middle of the sweetspot.

I have to say ZM65 is noticable crispier than ZM67. Maybe a new GoTo-string for me. Unfortunately my stringer doesn't have any ZM65 in stock so I have too look for myself.

That means you're ready to graduate to the next level, my young padawan ... to zm62 with more repulsion, more crispness, beautiful feel, and amazing sound.

Can anyone tell me what are the the markings on the newest Zymax strings? Are they still marked "Ashaway USA"? If so, how can you tell say Zymax 62 from Zymax 65, 67 or 70?

There was a period when the 2nd gen. Zymax was introduced the markings on the the 2nd gen. strings were simply "ASHAWAY USA" and the first gen. "ASHAWAY USA Zymax 62".
It now appears that all non-platinum strings (all 2nd gen.), available in all gauge sizes, are marked "ASHAWAY USA Zymax XX". The platinum is only available in Asia in only Zymax 62 1st gen.
    Am I right?

I've never seen the platinum before and MBS doesn't sell platinum colors unfortunately. Is it possible to purchase online?

Anyway my question on Zymax is that is Zymax 65 a true compromise between 62 and 67? It has the durability similar to 67 but the repulsion of 62?

... or you could also say it has the dullness of zm67 while having the fragility of zm62

but seriously, i find it to be smack in the middle of 62 and 67 in terms of good and bad, as mentioned by your post and my post

    Haha, thanks visor.

I'm reconsidering just trying ZM67 at 2lbs. higher than my usual just to see how that goes. I like the durability of Zymax strings, but I don't want it to snap on me after a couple weeks. Even if I string rackets myself it takes time and it still costs quite a bit. Hopefully ZM65 is a winner for me, or ZM67 as a back up.

In any case, I ordered BG80, BG80P, ZM62, ZM65 to test out to see what I like. I chose them for their power:cost ratio. Although I'll be stringing them at slightly different tensions to adjust for their thickness compared to ZM67.
