Hi! I'm interested in finding a club in the Canvey/Benfleet/Basildon/Leigh/Southend area of Essex. I havent played for a few years but would like to get back into it so any info about clubs in my area would be greatly appreciated. I am the secretary of a Badminton club that play at Rayleigh Leisure Centre in Essex, on a Thursday evening. We play league badminton in the Brentwood League and Southend League. We are a club of about 22 men & women with an age range of 17 - 65 years old. Our policy for new members is to suggest they come along for a three week trial period before making a decision to join or not. We do not take on beginners but do have 2 qualified instructors who play for us and are willing to give advise on positioning, tactics etc. Other places to look for a club would be the Brentwood Badminton League at www.bdbadl.co.uk or the Southend League at www.badmintonsouthend.org.uk Hope this has been of help to you.
