A part of our lives involves badminton. (That's why we're BCers.) But it does not entirely revolve on this sport. We have our family, our career, our love life, and so on.

Aside from baddy, I also have another outlet. And that is singing and performing. I can't entirely say that I'm the best of the best. And just the same as badminton, I just appreciate what I have and share it with others. I'm a wedding singer, a musical theater actor, and a band vocalist. Once, I tried out venturing out to our local music/movie industry by joining Philippine Idol (a local franchise of American Idol). I passed the gruelling audition and made it to the "Hollywood" week (top 100 out of 50,000). Unfortunately, I eventually got eliminated. It's really hard to penetrate that kind of industry especially if you're competing against semiprofessional singers. But I still appreciate that experience because it made me more confident facing the audience. And I learned that once it's your passion, you just pass everything by, account it into experience, and move on, not letting others hinder you from doing what you like. And like in badminton, it doesn't really matter if somebody's better than you. You just play and play and play until you get better than that somebody. I hope you enjoy the video :).

    venkatesh,
You are very good!:) Congratulations on following your passions, and having the attitude that takes all experience as good experience, even if you didnt' win Phillipine Idol.
    What's next? Competitive ballroom dancing?;)

    Oh no!

    Thank you.
I'm not really into dancing. I can move to the beat as dancing is a must in theater. but I'm more of a singer. but from what i know, good badminton players are good dancers as they have well-developed cerebellum. does that mean you're a good dancer too?
btw, bradmyster has a good singing voice and is a good guitarist. you should watch his video.

    Where are the photographers?

I'm waiting for their post. I've seen their work, and I feel that photography is their passion.

    Ultimate

My biggest passion is probably badminton. i'm not a pro, and i am not counting on becoming one. however, when i play badminton, i just get a very special feeling and i put all my problems aside. i have never tried anything like the feeling i get when i play badminton.

but i do have other passions, ofcourse i do. the second biggest is probably Ultimate. yeah it's the game with frisbees and no judges ;)
i love to see that disc fly, and it makes me calm to throw a disc as far as i can. also i love the challenge of learning new ways to throw the disc. im a newbee and i have a lot to learn, but i really like learning it :)

Yes there is. Guy Sebastian (the singer of Angels brought me here) is a winner of Australian Idol in 2003.

Yes. Bradmyster and I will do a duet, and then ctjcad will dance. :D

Thank you koo_fan (ven&brad_fan???? hahaha). But I think I'm done with reality TV. It's so stressful. :-( Let's urge Bradmyster to join :D

    Yes! Carrie has her version

I thought it was popular as I was asked to sing that during a wedding gig. Man! The notes were really high!!! And there were too much vocal runs! But I made the bride cry when I sang. :) (Maybe because she wanted me to stop singing already. Hehehehe. Kidding.)

With the great wall you made, there's no doubt that badminton is your passion. It's like you have a shrine of rackets.

Piano...I just absolutely love it. Been playing for almost 10 years. Got to have 2ish hours of practise daily...haha.

I dont' have any videos of me playing....though I'll just post some of stuff which I'm working on at the moment (the performers are godly, so I'm awful compared to them :p)

    Une Barque sur l'ocean : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdiPuBbr1Dc
    Chopin Scherzo 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-x-y2DuHSec
    Liszt Chasse-neige: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkWJkL_VU-k

I know most people probably don't listen to classical music and stuff....but give it a look, and I'm sure you'll like it.

That's cool. It would be nice, though, to see you play. :)
I know a little bit about piano and guitar, but it's really not my calling as I suck. :-(
