Holy crap! that's right the new Apacs Lethal 70 is supposed to handle a maximum stringing tension of 40lb according to the specs on the apacs UK website, also described as super stiff shaft and head heavy balance. Source: http://www.apacs-sports.co.uk/catalog/index.php and http://www.apacs-sports.co.uk/catalog/apacs-badminton-rackets/lethal/apacs-lethal-70-uk/prod_49.html
BAH - head heavy! I hope they do a 4U, as I can then stuff the grip with lead to make it a 3U doubles racket
Fleet has been selling racquets that can take up to 40lbs for quite some time. At least 1 year on the market. http://www.fleet.com.my/p-rMain.htm# In real world scenario, it remains to be seen though.
Ugh, a new way to measure the length of the manly joint? Racquet's max tension? Wake me, when you reach 100.
I can't seem to find it anywhere except for sale here used. Buy then I stumble onto this Lethal 70 in the UK before they even get the 60. I'm so confused @_@
racquet_sports on ebay still has 3 left in stock: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-APACS-LETHAL-60-BADMINTON-RACKET_W0QQitemZ150363007369QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2302556989&_trksid=p3286.m63.l1177 You can most likely get it cheaper if you place a offer
Apacs Lethal 70 Dear all, I think its same as Lethal 60, only its named Lethal 70. As I know, Lethal 70 is special model for Singapore market. If you look closely to the photos, its copy Lethal 50 photos.
Only the a few of the pictures are Lethal 70, I don't know why there are lethal 50 pictures included. But the point of the link was the specs.
APACS Canada has it up as the Lethal 60 (60, 70 its the same racket apparently), and is actually advertising it to be able to handle up to 45 lbs. Yes, FOURTY FIVE POUNDS. Makes me wonder if he got jealous of Dink's claims. http://www.apacscanada.com/lethal-60-p-98.html The Lethal 60 is supposed to be stiff, as compared to be medium-stiff for the 50. It's shaft is thicker by an avg of 0.4 mm (are we supposed by able to feel that difference?). About 3 cms long, it boasts a whopping extra 15 pounds on its max string tension, up to 45 from 30. Oddly enough, the order page does not give an option to string it at anything higher than 28/30. What makes me laugh is that: 1. Special features are copied directly from the Lethal 50 page and 2. It costs 30CAD less than the Lethal 50 (28ish USD difference)
The New L60/70 also doesn't have the double shaft that the L50 had. Wonder how it feels differently. Anyone hat has both can compare?
Oops my bad >.< 3 cms longer is way too much. My bad on that. I was tryng to put mm but put cm instead. No idea what I was thinking.
